The Torry Holt rumor keeps swirling in the back of my mind

Premium picks? Premium? I suggested a 3rd and 6th. Even that was just a rough idea thrown out there. We have an extra 3rd and a late 2nd day 6th round pick is premium? Hmm ok.

And I'd rather take the 2-3 years Holt has left than take another 2-3 years to develop Austin and Stanback...who neither will ever be even close to the receiver Torry Holt is.

I'm sure the Pats were really willing to groom Chad Jackson and Jabar Gaffney then take a chance on Randy Moss.

Moss was had for a 4th rounder.

3rd rounders are very valuable. i wouldnt just throw 3rd's out let alone throw in a 6th.

I read this with amazement. Holt has been one of the most productive WRs in history. I have no idea if he is still the same guy but I'd bet he is. Here's his stats:

He has been an under-appreciated and very productive WR. The problem is that he is old and has a bad knee and seems to have lost much of his quickness and speed. I think he is a shell of his former self and don't want to give up a premium pick to see if he still has some gas in the tank. Conditional pick that could max out as a 4th rounder is all I would offer for him if he is available.

ok, so basically your starting a thread about a bogus rumor somebody else started.

I've never seen one legit "rumor" about us even thinking about getting Holt, much less actually making calls etc etc. The Dallas media, ESPN and FOX Sports would be all over this dont you think?

I said in my first post I dont think it will happen. So yes, I'm starting a thread about a bogus rumor that somebody else started. Sue me, I wanted to discuss the dream of Torry Holt coming here.

There are trades that aren't reported by the media, so it could happen. Not thinking it will at all, but I dont think starting a thread over this is a crime.
