We should have gotten more for him.

Bad trade - we have nothing to show for him.

Funny AB story

There was a Pitt CB who was disciplined for punching out AB. Pats brought the kid in and point blank asked about the incident. Kid said, that guy's mouth is always running, He was hurting the team and someone needed to straighten him out.

Cox was ELEVATED on their draft board and Bryant was never even on theirs..........

So glad BP/Ireland are drafting and no more JJ/Lacewell drafts.

ya know, whether or not you liked the trade, the thing that I always found ironic is that Bryant is similar to Keyshawn in a number of ways...

Both are big receivers...neither is known as speed receiver...both will drop some very catchable balls...both are known to be behavioral problems..although Bryant was criticized for freelancing on his routes, we all know that Johnson ran a few poor routes last year causing interceptions..both are firey....passionate..and both can take a hit...I was at the Monday night Giant game and Bryant took a WALLOP on that last pass from QC in regulation time.

But Keyshawn simply works better for Parcells and so he was sought after while Bryant was banished.

im sick of everyone saying "HOF coach".. his record at dallas is 16-16, who cares about anything else. theres flaws in his coaching and everyone knows it, bill is biased towards older vets and has-beens.. its the truth. this team doesnt like youth at the wr position, its not a secret.. and i dont blame bryant one bit.

That was a sweet play - 25 yards and to the sidelines

AB - lets see how he reacts when Braylon Edwards starts soon over him!

I was pretty close to that play (40 yard line) HECK of a throw...great route by Bryant...good catch...and he got slammed on the play.

Well we could ahve took the 2 5th round picks from the Chiefs which I wanted at the time the trade went down over Morgan :bang2:

Why, so when we cut those two guys we could be having this conversation?

has finally proved that it was not a good deal, at least for us.
It wasn't supposed to be from the beginning. Why can't some people get it? This wasn't about a value for value trade. Didn't we cover this like a thousand time before???

Things work or don't work out for a reason. We lost Morgan, but got a possible stud in Crayton in the 7th round. It usually evens out over time......

This is now a pet peeve of mind.

How do you wash away one draft miscue with a draft success somewhere else? Where is the logic in that?

You make a mistake it stays a mistake. Doing well at another draft position certainly helps take the sting away but the two picks are not connected in any way.

Does Crayton even get a shot if AB is still here? Answer: no. So there is a connection.

I have no idea why this issue continues to fascinate. If AB gets religion and becomes an eagle scout he's still never coming back to Valley Ranch. It's painfully obvious the guy had to go, whether the trade was value or not isn't particularly relevant since what's done is done.

Which is of course why 10 rookies made the team this year, and Crayton the 2nd year player with 2 games under his belt is our undisputed #3 WR.

Does the stereotyping ever get old?

Where did I mention AB? I'm talking picks in general not specific ones. But if you insist on talking about him I will. AB had to go because he was a cancer. Guess what; he was a cancer in college and we threw away a number two for him.

The fact we got anything in return was gravy but still irrelevant to the fact he was a wasted pick. The fact we traded for another wasted pick just adds insult to injury but it still has nothing to do with throwing the pick away on draft day.

And what makes you think we would never had noticed Crayton with AB here? That makes no sense. Of course he gets noticed unless all the coaches are smoking dope on the sidelines and doing crack instead of looking at film. Crayton made it impossible for them not to notice by making plays. And he did most of that in practice to earn a spot on the field.

So I don't buy into your assumption we had to dump AB to evaluate Crayton. That is just illogical.

Wasting draft picks was the subject of my diatribe. Not AB. You people insist on interjecting him from your own agendas.

Garbage for Garbage huh. That shows how much you know. If you did not see the talent that both guys had and what they bring to a team, I feel sorry for you.

I guess you never heard " that how you practice is how you play in the game".

Bryant showed that he was more than a tease while he was here, Malcontent, lol, he was never called that until he threw the jersey in BP's face.

Well, that's a load of hooey... in point of fact, AB was a PITA in college, just like he was with the Cowboys... a bonafide head case, that's a big part of what pushed him down in the draft...

BP, got what he deserved, I'm not siding with Bryant, but BP is a buthole and he does provoke those guys.

And now we know what YOUR agenda is, and that we can safely discount anything further you have to say on this subject...

Yeah I remember the tantrums, but I also remember tantrums by other receivers that are great receivers.

Problem is, Bryant ain't even CLOSE to "great"...

What he is, is a guy who has caught 141 passes in 47 career games... that's 3 catches per game, or 48 for a 16 game season...

Those would only be mediocre numbers for a number two receiver... and that ain't nowhere near enough production for all the problems he causes...

Screw AB, and his punk attitude...

I think that was obvious from reading the first post in this thread.

Ive never understood how people bash Parcells because he butts heads with some players. The man literally has a cult following of players in this league, tons of guys that absolutely want to play for him.

Parcells 'provoked' Bryant by being who he is. Bryant was freelancing and giving up on plays so Parcells went with a guy he does trust in Keyshaun who doesnt give up or freelance.

All Bryant would have to have doneis do what Glover and Davis did in similar circumstances. Put his head down and work hard, practice hard and show up on the field and he wouldve been in the same boat as Glover and Davis, starting for the Dallas Cowboys. Instead he cried.

Ill take the Glover's and Davis' of the NFL. You can have Bryant.

Of course, we will have to repeat this next week, the week after, then the following week, and the week after that. I can't believe so many people bring this topic up all the time. AB just wasn't going to work out here. Bottom line. The guy went about things the wrong way and he obviously didn't want to be here.

Yeah I don't get this "Parcells has his guys in place" BS.

Was Keyshawn one of BP's guys when he took over the Jets? No. Keyshawn was already there, and he earned parcells trust and respect.

We all know BP didn't initially want Terry Glenn. But TG worked his a** off and became one of BPs guys.

The difference in Bryants and Morgans cases? They folded and ran away from the competition. If they'd shut their mouths, worked hard, and proved they can be trusted they ALSO would have become a BP player.

Terry Glenn could have easily accused BP of having an "Agenda" when he was a rookie, but he instead worked hard and won over BP's trust and respect. If Bryant had done the same he would still be here.
