Over the next three games, the Cowboys have an opportunity to transition from a finesse running game to a bruising back and giving the ball to Rico Dowdle 15 times minimum versus the Giants the Panthers and Washington .

If this doesn’t happen, then you know, Mike McCarthy has very little intuition and is a complete and total ignoramus if you don’t know that already.

Turn Rico loose - which intern may actually turn Pollard loose.

It won't happen because of the politics of this team, a guy is being paid more than him, so he's NOT going to be outplayed by another player on this team

Bruising back.......

He would be one of the safest practice squad players in the league. Nobody wants him. He couldn't bruise a banana.

No way they transition to a RB with a career long 10 yard gain.

Don't forget, he is also coming of a season ending injury in 2022.

Rico has look better than Tony for the entire season. He needs more carries.

They also miss Zeke. Especially on plays needing less than 3 yards for a 1st down.
And especially in the red zone, and within the 10 yard line.

I realize it was more money than his play. Though many on here will not admit that. So another bone head decision by the FO not to negotiate a reduction in pay.
Actually they should have let Pollard go, kept Zeke, drafted a RB.

Damn Plasticman, I normally am with you, but I think he is a bruising back kind of like Marion.
*Had that one run not been stopped by the hold call I think it breaks his long. He was still going forward when they were blowing.

Over the next three games, the Cowboys have an opportunity
There are several areas the Cowboys have opportunities to let the backups get some valuable playing time.

Virtually at every position. Not taking advantage of this is a big opportunity that is lost.

Rico carries the ball loosely in 1 arm even after heavy contact. Hès a fumble waiting 2 happen. I pray he isn't the starter.

YEAH we don't need a try hard guy at RB. We need a guy that can take the load off of 20 and make a tough yard at the goal line.

I don’t recall if I actually posted it, but I had the thought about a week ago that Dowdle should go to the Elliott role, allowing Pollard to go back to the Pollard role.

Tough to say, and impossible to prove, but it’s plausible that Pollards lack of explosiveness could be misuse.

He wasn’t even the lead back in college. He has certain elite skills, but needs to be used properly to optimize them.

I sincerely hope the Cowboys do not treat these next 3 games like preseason games and use them to experiment with personnel. They need to go out and take care of business. This division was is not over.

The Commanders traded away their DEs but they are stilla team that can beat you if you don;t take them seriously. Win these next 3 games without mercy.

If the OL can start blocking in teh running game, Pollard will be fine. Clean up the stupid mistakes and they can score with any team in the NFL.

Money aspect aside, this would involve eating crow and admitting TP isn't a bell cow. The guy may be just a great complimentary back and there's nothing wrong with that but we tagged him as a no. 1.

I'd like to see more Rico, but JJ may have imprinted on this one just a bit.

Taking these next few games lightly could be a major mistake.

It’s the NFL. You all know how it goes.

No such thing as a gimme.
You really think the Cowboys will take these games lightly? It’s the NFL anything can happen. Dak could step the wrong way and he is done. The Cowboys will be focused they have to get better. It’s one game at a time.

no its not, we all know its stacking good games and good plays Garrett said so. Lots of people loved that saying.
