It's just, well, regardless of status amongst fans, shouldn't they all be held to the same standards?
The argument about missing 3 starting pro bowl linen, and then losing a game, is still not the same as losing with 3/5ths or even 4/5ths of you offensive lineup personnel. Unless you don't think it really matters about what most would agree is one of the more difficult to draft and discover a quality starting offensive lineman.
Even if, 1 or 2 guys, you can put a numeric value on it, so it's measurable. But there were 3 green horns tossed into the lineup a day or so before... and most teams with that particularly unlucky scenario in the injury column will indeed lose, if that is the pregame report and you play 100 games and measure ID the average NFL team would sputter if missing 3 staring OL.
Nobody wants to recognize the anomaly there.
