If we get a repeat of last week and Dak stinks up the joint, this could get very ugly and very fast. Unlike previous years, Dak has competition and Trey Lance is breathing down his neck. Dak needs to play well and Dallas needs to win in a convincing fashion. Dropping to 2-2 and losing in a similar way like last week could make Dak’s seat a bit more hot. The fans might very well chant for Trey Lance and that should bother Dak.

Because Rush ain't the guy in the future. It's simply an improvement for insurance. Especially if QB1 gets injured again. Rush is mediocre at best, at least Lance has some potential.

the facts are that they gave up on the 3rd over all pick who they gave up a ton to go get. they expected couple of peanuts back and were happy about it. two years later. he got dumped. not even as a back up. perhaps keep him and develop and get a second rounder. nope. they went with a bust as their backup.
