atleast Joey Galloway made a play once in a while

In all fairness, he has made some big plays. A few.

It's the average plays we need him to start making. Catching routine balls, and yes, even the slightly overthrown ones that every other good receiver in the league seems to make with regularity.

We need that from him...now. No more "in time" crap. Now.

It is obvious that he is not an elite player - we just gave him elite money and an elite package of draft picks. If he plays hard and keeps his mouth shut, he will be okay by me - we'll just have to accept the fact that he is an average #2 type starting WR. We need Miles to emerge as a #1 - hopefully next year Miles will take his game to the next level.

:hammer:

The way we trash Commander fans in here and how they are at Extremeskins I thought it would be different here. NOPE! Same deal.

I remember wondering why he got hype in college. Everytime he faced a top defense he did nothing for the most part. In the NFL it's been more of the same for the most part.

I know I'll get ripped by 90% of the board (T Sippers), but I don't care.

Roy is just another in a LONG line of overrated UT players.

Yes, they've had a few successes, but most of the guys NEVER live up to the UT hype.

Collegiately speaking, I'll go as far to say that most of them are the best they'll ever be the first day they step on campus, which is to say that they come in highly recruited and HS All-Americans and they almost never get better.

IMO, you can blame the UT coaches - great recruiters, worse coaches. They win because they have the talent advantage, not because of coaching. And as a result, the players never get better, because they don't have to.

I was all about giving him time, but we're this far into the season and it's not any better. If he were benched, I doubt it'd be Ogletree, but I'm for shaking things up.

It'd most likely be Crayton. Crayton always seems to be where Romo expects him to be and the absolute vast majority of the time, has really good hands.

What make this thread official? Is it endorsed by the Dallas Cowboys? Just asking?

Jerry will not allow RW11 to be benched so you can forget about it.

I wouldn't mind seeing some more 3 WR sets with Otree in the slot - I think his quickness could bring another dimension to the offense. If he develops the smarts to attack soft spots in zones, he will be a very dangerous player.

I have been saying Williams is our #4 WR in Talent and Potential, let me break it down.

Talent (Current Skill Level):
Miles Austin
Patrick Crayton
Kevin Ogletree
Roy Williams
Sam Hurd
Manuel Johnson
Jesse Holley

Potential (Possible Skill Level in the future):
Miles Austin
Kevin Ogletree
Patrick Crayton
Roy Williams
Jesse Holley
Sam Hurd
Manuel Johnson

I dont support benching him, I want him to stay starting and I want to see some other team trade for him and dread that decision on draft day, Imagine us using our 28th pick in the 2010 draft, Ken Hamlin and Roy Williams to grab #5 pick and get Eric Berry to start at FS next to Sensabaugh at SS? That's a possibility if a team needing a WR is up there, so keep him and keep trying to make him look decent.

I think you give him way too much credit.

Ain't that the freakin truth.

Roy Williams has been a major disappointment but will continue to start because of the money he is making.

As I have been saying all along, I never understood what was wrong with a lineup of Crayton and Austin.

Roy is a decent WR and good be great bait in a Draft-Day trade, benching him kills that and that therefor is a bad idea.

If we can trade him + Hamlin to get a Eric Berry and all we have to do is suffer through him for the rest of this season, isn't that worth it to have virtually a Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu in our Secondary? Yes it is.

LOL I bet you're right. I can't stand the *******. How about we cut our ties so we can stop holding this team back.
