It's amazing to me that anybody who considers themselves a fan has so much hate for 1 player and can't support the guy b/c he is 1 of 53 on this roster and works his butt off in practice to try & get things going in the right direction. That is 1 thing you can't take away from him is everyone says how great his work ethic is.. What exactly has he done to hurt the team? They are 7-3 and 1 game where he made a couple mistakes doesn't mean he has hurt the team. Whenever he is at fault for losses & when you are paying him or gave up the draft picks to get him then come back and talk to me! I am one of Roy's biggest fans and have been disappointed in the way things have gone so far, but I still know the talent the guy possesses and I truly believe that he will turn this thing around and start being a big time receiver for the Dallas Cowboys! If he were just one of 53, and not consuming roughly 1/20th of our salary cap and didn't cost us 2 or more future starters, I wouldn't be that worried about his production, because, ironically if he didn't take up so much of our resources, he wouldn't even be dressing for games given his production to date.

You say this as if it's abnormal. If you take the top 32 paid receivers in the league, on average they take up approximately 1/20 of their team's salary cap. This only seems abnormal because median != mean. Shocking concept, I know.

Well, he's tied for 103rd in receptions and 54th in yards. I think that he's well below the median / mean production for a receiver of his salary level, which is the point, he's not playing anywhere close to his pay grade. Of course, that doesn't even factor in the implicit opportunity cost of lost draft picks.

Thanks, I though that a factual look at his relative performance was more useful than simply labeling him a top receiver, which of course he isn't now.

I do think Deion is trying to help some kids for the most part.

But. But I do think that his way of always looking at sports in general as a business would probably take away some enjoyment from the kids because their minds aren't always wanting to think about the serious issues in life.

And that's not a bad thing. They are kids. It's not the worst thing in the world that they just wan to focus some time on playing a game. We as adults tend to always think preaching to kids and always giving them lessons is going to shape them. But there is a time and place for those issues to be addressed.

Deion publicly apologizes to Roy Williams. Interesting. But I can see right through BS. #21 wants a sit down interview for his gig at the NFL Network.

Don't do it Roy.

Roy is in a situation where the only way he can 'win' is to produce at a high level for the rest of the season while helping the Cowboys win a playoff game. Do that and things will calm down a whole lot.
