Chips offense is a lot like the run and shoot. It is predicated that you will score all the time and your defense will stop the opposing team most of the time. When you avg 20 mins TOP you had better score often otherwise the opposing team is going to grind your defense into dust.

I also think people overlook just how consistent his philosophy is on offense and defense. He runs plays quickly to tire the defense out....that extends to his defense....he has the front 7 up tight, often with S help, slanting, twisting, blitzing, sliding....their goal is to stop you and pressure you into mistakes that put his offense and your defense back on the field quickly. He'd rather give up a 50 yard TD than a 4 minute 50 yard TD drive. It's either we're going to stop you and get you off the field quickly with all the pressure up front and covering guys for a short period in man....or we'll give you a big play and still get you off the field quickly and get your defense back on the field to chase us.

It works....it's works off and on against good teams with good QBs, but it works almost all the time against weak teams or even strong ones with suspect QB play...that's why I see no way the Giants or Skins even make it close---the Skins have absolutely nothing on either side of the ball; the Giants have a good QB and receivers, but a crappy OL and poor defense. Everyone will think the Eagles righted the ship with a couple of blowouts, but they have a system and team that will blowout all pretenders while we sometimes play down to our opponents. The Eagles won't get by teams like Detroit, GB, Seattle, or Dallas if we play well. I'd include Arizona in that group, but their QB situation will doom them in the playoffs.

Tell me when they had the Seattle game in hand? You mean a 7-0 1st quarter lead?

Or the Dallas game. They had a 3pt lead in the 3rd quarter.

None of those games were ever in control. In fact, Seattle and Dallas controlled most of those games.

Can't win in this league without a QB. I don't care what kind of "genius" you have at head coach. Last 2 weeks, Wilson and Romo made plays and Sanchez didn't. Bottom line.

Chip isn't going anywhere but he better get himself a real QB or he'll be back in college soon enough.

Chip Kelly's job is on the line if they don't make the playoffs. Philadelphia will burn down.

If you substituted Cowboys for Eagles and Garrett for Kelly, if Dallas had lost, you would have been hailed as king by some on here.

Dude...they are playing with Mark Sanchez. I think it's remarkable they have held it together this long with him running the show.

Yes. Flip QBs last night and Philly wins by 2-3 TDs.

Completely astounding and unprecedented. 2 weeks in a row. 2 games they had in hand, a lead and had established control at home. Losing against a team they beat by 23 points less than 3 weeks ago and could come back on at will with 24 unanswered points.

Chip Kelly's job is on the line if they don't make the playoffs. Philadelphia will burn down.

They have a bright future if they fix that secondary and find a good QB they will be tough to beat. Chip ain't going anywhere.

I would still consider them favorites to win the division, they're more than likely to win out and I'm not so sure we beat the Colts.

the Eagles are what every one said the Cowboys were. I'm fully expecting them to lose on Saturday

I think there is a distinct possibility they lose on Saturday. Short week on the road, bad loss, coming off two very physical games against the two most physical teams in the NFC. If the Commanders have any sense of competitive spirit whatsoever, they could definitely win that game. Wouldn't it be nice to clinch the division before Week 17? And I really want that #2 seed, giving Romo that extra week to rest would benefit him big time.

I wonder if they're set up for a let down Saturday. That'll be fun to watch.

I don't think so
read option and short quick passes as not romo's thing
he is a traditional drop back passer and not what Kelly offense needs

True about the ideal fit for their scheme....which Sanchez and Romo are not.

But Philly certainly scores more with Romo in there...maybe way more.
And Dallas may score WAY less with Sanchez. Especially in a game where Murray is getting 2.6 ypc. Sanchez is not going to throw 3 TDs and zero picks with 129 QB rating if he is playing for Dallas vs the Philly defense.
Not remotely close to that. So yes, I think they win easily if we swap QBs.

Anyway, all irrelevant theory on my part.

In hand? I must've watched different games.

Chip Kelly's accomplished a lot in two years; he and his team are this season's media darlings. But I believe it's a matter of time before his DNA-altering scheme goes the way of the zone read. We'll see how good a coach he is then. I actually think he's pretty good.

I'm sorry, but what?

1. What's unprecedented, exactly? They lost consecutive home games last year under Kelly as well. And a 2-game losing streak isn't exactly earth-shattering anyway.
2. "2 games they had in hand?" They led Seattle by 7 points for just over 4 minutes in the first quarter last week. They never led again. They had that game in hand? Their only lead yesterday was by 3 points and they held that lead for less than 5 minutes. Game in hand? Okay.
3. Kelly's going nowhere.
