I'm sorry, but what?

1. What's unprecedented, exactly? They lost consecutive home games last year under Kelly as well. And a 2-game losing streak isn't exactly earth-shattering anyway.
2. "2 games they had in hand?" They led Seattle by 7 points for just over 4 minutes in the first quarter last week. They never led again. They had that game in hand? Their only lead yesterday was by 3 points and they held that lead for less than 5 minutes. Game in hand? Okay.
3. Kelly's going nowhere.

If it was that easy for them to score 24 unanswered points, why wouldn't they be able to finish the job?

Well, the flip side of that is, if it was that easy to put up 24, then why couldn't they manage more then 3 points in the 4th quarter?

Because it's not that easy, and because past performance does not predict future results. People buy into the whole narrative and momentum thing way too easily. The fact is that the Eagles had a 3-point lead in the 3rd quarter; that isn't "game in hand", no matter what order the previous points were scored in.

I know fan sentiment doesn't affect football games, but I was just glanced through some threads at the Giants board. They seem very confident that they are going to bury Philly for good.

Hopefully his job is on the line BEFORE Jerry tries to extend Garrett...

Agreed. Sanchez could single-handedly cost them a game.

It could be argued he cost them the game last night. That INT by Wilcox that ended the Philly run and almost Dallas collapse was an awful throw, with their TE wide-open on the slant. If he puts it in his hands, he would have easily netted major yardage if not a TD and Philly had all the momentum in the world.

I like Marinelli's use of Carter last night. Had him in the middle playing on some snaps playing the run as a MLB, and then as a blitzer from there also. Carters Last real string of good games was at ILB when Lee was hurt 2.5 yrs ago.

I'm still at a loss to explain how him hasn't excelled. He has the physical talent to be All Pro. Very disappointing.

Very frustrating. Even this year, the game he got hurt he had a Int., he had a excellent game then while chaseing he pulled the quad--and never got back to that games level. Just see him going to another team and things working out, just hope its not a division rival,

Philly has a pretty good team and may still win the division and God forbid, the SB. It's premature to right anyone off in the top 7 teams.

They have a very good DL, good frt 7 and don't play that bad with their intact secondary. We beat up a non ready for primetime player last night otherwise we'd all be singing the blues today.

As @MichaelWinicki and others have stated, the NYG can beat them. Even Was can beat them. This league allows no team the luxury of taking the day off.

I worry about that. I at times think he's in the doghouse, others he's not into the game enough, or whatever it is. A new scheme may turn him around. AFC ok. NFC esp East not so good.

You bet the Giants can beat them.

All of a sudden the G-men are getting sacks by the bushel-basket full and that kid-WR of theirs is tearing it up.

Completely astounding and unprecedented. 2 weeks in a row. 2 games they had in hand, a lead and had established control at home. Losing against a team they beat by 23 points less than 3 weeks ago and could come back on at will with 24 unanswered points.

Chip Kelly's job is on the line if they don't make the playoffs. Philadelphia will burn down.

Three things:

1. They never had game in hand. We let them surge. We adjusted and got aggressive. Game over.

2. We ain't in the clear yet. They could still steal division.

3. Chip has done a fine job. He is going to be a good coach for a long time.

I think that Philly is a terrible matchup for the GMen. The only player that scares me on offense for NY is Beckham and he's not enough. Giants are still terrible on the OL and we all know Philly can bring it on the pass rush. If you hit Eli, he's like a broken slot machine. He'll start spitting out nickles to customers like no tomorrow. I don't think the Giants can run against Philly so it's going to be tough for them.

I think they are going to play Beckham with a Safety over the top and just load the box. Blitz off the bus and it will be over. I do agree that the Giants have been playing better of late but they are coming off of two wins against Tennessee and Washington. Before that, 7 straight losses.

I think the GMen come down to reality against Philly. It's possible they pull it out but I would not bet on the GMen.

I don't know if anyone has looked it up yet but I don't ever recall a philly team who was 9-3 at one point not make playoffs.

He is scary good. I'm trying to figure out who he reminds me of. ?Charlie Joiner but a tad faster. Lofton, Reed, Swann?? Sterling Sharpe???
