I know fan sentiment doesn't affect football games, but I was just glanced through some threads at the Giants board. They seem very confident that they are going to bury Philly for good.
I won't be surprised if the Giants beat them. I won't be surprised if we lose to the Skins. We ain't no juggernaut. But we don't quit. And we have a pretty dang good offense.
One loss and now the Eagles are collapsing? Okay.
I'm sorry, but what?
1. What's unprecedented, exactly? They lost consecutive home games last year under Kelly as well. And a 2-game losing streak isn't exactly earth-shattering anyway.
2. "2 games they had in hand?" They led Seattle by 7 points for just over 4 minutes in the first quarter last week. They never led again. They had that game in hand? Their only lead yesterday was by 3 points and they held that lead for less than 5 minutes. Game in hand? Okay.
3. Kelly's going nowhere.
Completely astounding and unprecedented. 2 weeks in a row. 2 games they had in hand, a lead and had established control at home. Losing against a team they beat by 23 points less than 3 weeks ago and could come back on at will with 24 unanswered points.
Chip Kelly's job is on the line if they don't make the playoffs. Philadelphia will burn down.
We can crow when we're in the playoffs and esp if we win the division. We have a moderately difficult game in Indy. If we don't blitz him some and create pressure then they can beat us. I suspect a lot of nickel and you may see more Carter in this game if we can force them away from the run.
Three things:
1. They never had game in hand. We let them surge. We adjusted and got aggressive. Game over.
2. We ain't in the clear yet. They could still steal division.
3. Chip has done a fine job. He is going to be a good coach for a long time.
It makes no logical sense.
A team, that won 33-10 on Thanksgiving, lets that same team get out to a 21-0 lead. Then they score 24 straight points and establish control. Then allow a touchdown and do not respond again when they showed they could score at will previously.
I can't recall a team collapsing like this in a recent NFL season. If they don't make the playoffs after establishing themselves as a 2 or 3 seed in the NFC undisputed, Kelly is going to be held accountable for the sinking ship.

To be fair. He lost the QB that he wanted to lead his team.
I'm not completely sold that Kelly wants Foles if that is who you are referencing.
Exactly. Nobody here is in a position to talk about any teams demise when we are as likely to implode as anyone. It's a very realistic possibility we lose to the Colts and watch the Eagles win the east while we stay home for the playoffs.
Really? This is one of the worst posts I have ever seen. Dumb beyond the pale.
