The vibe here feels like we lost the game

You’re an odd suck. Super happy we won and covered but it’s not great to see Dak back to his old bs tricks and pathetic qb play. Can’t wait to hear his witty post game comments, though.
Im as rough on Dak around here as anyone, but Im giving Dak more than his first game back to prove it.
Im good with baby steps, knocking off some dust and winning.
Throwing into triple team coverage is not a good thing, so I hope vs Chicago that Dak improves in that area mainly.
Dak dropped a couple passes in the bucket that Rush could never have made, that's what this offense needs desperately.

Gosh, they won by 18 points. Philly only beat Detroit by 3.

Defense balled out again. Dak was ok. Played a similar game to Rush that leaned on the run game and defense. He had some ill advised throws but got away with it. He was efficient with a 122 QB rating. It's a win. Hey guys. Celebrate the win.

There were 13 games today. Fwiw, we scored more points than 19 off the 26 teams that played. We won convincingly as 6.5 point favorites. Not sure what everyone wants, but I'll say this:

If someone said we'd start 5-2 before the season started, almost any fan would've been happy. It's only after the games are played that people seem to have a problem. Then there's the group that says they don't care anything about the regular season, that it's only the post-season that matters. Not sure why they even bother tuning in before the playoffs, but that's their business.

We're 5-2, we looked fine today, and the Bears are up next. That's really the only story. I'm fine with where we are right now.

OMG, if Dallas had last years offense and this years defense.
Ya, that offense last year was awesome scoring 9 pts in KC and 7 pts in 3 Q vs the Niners.
How they won the toss in overtime and marched down and we beat the Raiders on Thanksgiving.
Oh man, what an offense!@!!!!

"It's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game".
A win is great, but when you see obvious problems in your team, you still feel as if you lost.
As bad as Detroit's defense is, it's not good that the Cowboys struggled on offense. This game could very well have been lost. The Lions simply collapsed in the fourth quarter.
It's not so much that the Cowboys beat them as it was them beating themselves.
That's why it doesn't feel as great as it could.

Seattle is 4-3.... only beat Detroit by 3. Detroit hung up 45 points on Seattle

Minnesota is 5-1..... only beat Detroit by 4. Detroit hung up 24 on Minny.

Philadelphia is 6-0.... only beat Detroit by 3. Detroit hung up 35 on Philly.

How much did Dallas beat Detroit by again????? Detroit only put up 6 points on the Cowboys.

While you think of that.... care to explain why these other teams only beat the Lions by 3 or 4 points???

So explain this to us all.... but before you do, let me get you some good gloves that will help you lift and move that goal post easier.

Some people like to bring others down with them. It’s their thing and we have to let them be who they are.
Crybabies have their place too. They are classic antagonists and every good story needs one.

What was the rank? Do you really look at their worst games and evaluate them based on that?

You’re not even trying.

Even if the Cowboys win a SB, these same group of fans will still be miserable and complain. It has nothing to do with wins and losses, but with the QB.

I hate not being able to come here and enjoy a win with fellow Cowboys fans! I wish the administrator and moderators would do something about it. Perhaps create a separate foru
It also happened with our last QB if you remember. Although I do think there are more folks here not sold on Dak than there was for Romo.

I think a lot of it is because people can see both QB's have enough tools to win it all. They have hope they didn't have during our long gap of bad QB's. We expected super bowls under Jimmy and we got spoiled. I get the frustration.

Edit-spelling.

I enjoyed the win.

but the first half was bad and the second half was much better.

The team has work to do and there is time. We have not peaked yet.

This has been a fun season so far.

Go cowboys!

I look at the opponent they are facing and when it's not an NFC East team or some other dog like last year's Falcons and Panthers Dak friendly is a non-factor!
Now you take all those garbage stats and go to Roger Goodell to convince him to give us a Superbowl or better yet the Stat SB......:muttley:

I get frustrated with this forum, because it has the most debbie downers of any Cowboys forum I know. Some here should be SF Whiner fans.

I have to ban myself for days at a time it's so bad. Otherwise I'd wind up getting banned for real for hunting haters and trolls and flaming them into ash.

Of course people want to see the Cowboys win a Super Bowl. But if you can't even enjoy the wins for one day you're probably going to feel frustrated a lot.

Obviously, there are areas in need of improvement. But I'm not going to change that by feeling grumpy after a win. Get back to work and bring on the Bears.
Let's put it this way. Once they finally win a Superbowl again we can go back into sleep mode and enjoy individual reg season wins for a couple of years. Until then wins are nothing but a ticket for the big concert. And THEN, in tournament mode, we can celebrate each step getting us closer to the final.

"Being there is everything" is a motto for elementary school sport contests, it's nothing for an NFL season.

Just my two cents.

I'm pretty excited about the win. This had all the makings of a trap game. I think i said this in another post. Dak came back and had some rust. But he pulled it together in the 4th. If Noah Brown doesn't get flipped in the air and fumble we may take the early lead. That was a big moment in the game. If we go up early then we wouldn't have felt tense going into the 4th. Overall great team effort. We can only play the people in front of us and every game has the potential of taking on a life of it's own. So there's no guarantee wins in the NFL. See the Packers and Bucs for reference.

I'm excited, we're 5-2 and playing well. Dak looked way better than week 1 and it was his first game back from injury. That's encouraging. Sure we got some things to clean up but that's what the season is for. I'll say this that our defense plays to win. Micah chasing down the dude and stopping him at the one and then we get the turnover. Those are plays that didn't happen the last 10 or years. When you got a guy with a motor like Micah that never quits then the whole team feeds off of it.

We are in great shape considering we lost week 1 and the lost our QB and several other players to injuries. We're in the hunt despite horrible week 1 showing and then weathering the injury storm.

Some don't want to realize the benchmark & expectations are higher for Dak and they were lower for Cooper Rush (who did commendable and kept the ship afloat).......and many act like Dak's salary is coming out of their bank account. We will see threads every week questioning every throw or decision by Dak. All good. Desperation for another QB.

People wanted to see a marked improvement in the offensive production. Didn't really get it.
Personally I believe Rush would have performed worse against the Lions, an underrated and not pushover team despite their record. As the game went on Dak and the offense got into a better rhythm.

agreed. It’s a work in progress.
But it shouldn't be a work in progress. Dak is a veteran, zeke and pollard, cee dee, gallup...all vets. How long does the work in progress take?
