currently playing Darksiders Warmastered Edition on ps5, have one boss fight left but I'm finishing up some collectibles first. By not putting most of my gaming time in Destiny or whatever other online shooter this year I've been able to complete and platinum a few games already. I currently have my ps4 games on an external hdd to the ps5 so it's made my ps4 completely obsolete, still have the ps3 sitting next to it as I do play that still.

My previous completion was Immortals Fenyx Rising, not sure what I want to tackle next.

You were right. They literally just dropped it off on my front porch. No door knock. No ringing of the door bell. No trying to hide it behind the post. Nothing. Just left right in the middle of the porch in plain view of the whole street. Lol
SMH, well just glad you got it...I used to hold FedEX in higher regard than UPS....not any more. I don't get why we're not needing to sign for our $500 packages? That alone is pretty suspect but again just glad you got it.

Nioh 2, huh this thing has my head cramping..but starting to somewhat get the flow of it. I saw Immortals and liked the old Greek atmosphere and likely pick it up down the line. I got stuck somewhere on Darksiders a ways back and never did finish that up but always liked that as the counter to God of War/Devil May Cry.

I hear you on the online shooters, I have a cousin who only plays Overwatch on ps4 and it's just a lost cause at this point to get him to play anything else. I can somewhat get it, you're always used to competing, and he's part of this team that goes on every night so you get some social value out of it too comp to single player games. But more the timing, he can play that all night and all day. I play maybe 2 hours a day and go through tons of single player stuff....he's still plugging away (quite contently) on Overwatch all night long.

fedex does saturday delivery, ups does not (not sure if it's an extra cost option) so they have that going. Because of "covid" these companies no longer hold packages that need signatures, they just drop it off and mark it as signed. Even USPS is like this.

Smh, the common duh reason didn't even occur to me (they'd be sitting ducks)...now I get the signature aspect completely. As I ordered Chinese food earlier and the guy just left it too...cough lemme go ahead and drop that subject lol. Embarrassed it didn't even occur to me tbh but appr you pointing that out...all I really got is "but it was my playstation 5 this time!"

Glad you got it! Welcome to the club! Had a chance to set it up and play on it yet?

Yes I have. I played Red Dead Online with friends on Saturday night. Amazing how much make vibrant and detailed the game looks going from an original Xbox one to the series X

And the load times are almost non existent.

I also bought the Witcher 3 and cyberpunk 2077

I started cyberpunk last night. So far it seems to be running very smooth. So I am imagining they fixed a lot of the issues with patches (there was a 47 GB update that had to be downloaded LOL)

Is the Nintendo Switch a good console to buy for the grandkids and my wife to play? I feel like I always have to give up my PS4 to the wife to play "Uno" or grandkids to play "Fortnite".
Yeah but could also see the jealousy become reversed..when are you gonna be done with the switch?! It is striking how good those games can look on there and then you end up half wanting to play it yourself/own your own (I would like one) . Are you keeping it for the household type of thing? Would be good to have both options

Lol, that happens now with my PS4 when the kids are playing Fortnite. From my limited research into the Nintendo system it does seem as if they have more "family" friendly games. I never really thought of getting a Nintendo system, but it's an idea bouncing in my head.

the switch is a great system IMO.

obviously it does not have the graphical power.

But a lot of quality games. It’s the best for playing 2-4 player games at home with family or friends.

It’s also really cool that if you’re playing a game. And have to go somewhere. You can literally take the game from the dock and on the move with you in less than a second.

All around a quality system and worth the money.

For multiplayer games you have awesome ones like Mario odyssey, super smash bros, luigis mansion, Mario kart, Mario party, etc etc.

also Zelda: Breath of the wild is an amazing game. It’s single player. But if you like open world adventure games. I highly recommend. I absolutely loved that game.

Thanks! If the weather wasn't so bad I would probably have it now. My grandkids are planning a sleepover this weekend and I want to give us all something to do at night.

sure it is. I got back into Nintendo with the Switch, but there's tons of games for kids/wife to play. Here's a list of games I would recommend:
-Marios & Rabbids (strategy game like XCom)
-Luigis Mansion
-Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
-Mario Kart
-New Super Mario Deluxe
-Monster Hunter Rise
-Ori
-Paper Mario
-Pokemon Shield/Sword
-Super Mario 3d Allstars
-Super Mario 3d World
-Mario Odyssey
-Super Smash Bros
-Zelda Breath of the Wild
Zelda Links Awakening
-Xenoblade
-Yoshis World
-Splatoon
-Mario Tennis
-Mario Party

Do some research on what's single player, co-op, or splitscreen but those are the games off the top of my head they would enjoy. There's nintendo online that gives you access to nes/snes games to play with an internet connection and some have online capabilities.

Not to oversaturate the thread with answers, but yes, it's a great little console. I kind of wanted one for awhile and finally got one 2019 Black Friday weekend. Blew me away how cool it is. I love that you can dock it and play on the tv or carry it with you (tbh I've probably played mine 95% of the time as a handheld lol). As others have mentioned, it's a fantastic family console. You will find game after game that are family friendly and can include everybody. Mine came with Mario Kart but I also bought Mario Party which is a great title at getting the whole room involved.

Then on the other side of the coin there are plenty of cool single player games that you would enjoy as well. For example, I got Zelda: Link's Awakening from Gamefly and I could not put that game down. haha Loved that one!
