You were right. The Xbox shipped and now FedEx says it should arrive on Saturday.

I am pumped.

Any games anyone recommends to buy to enjoy on it? I haven’t even figured out the first game I want to buy to use on the system.

though some of the Xbox one games alone I already play will look better
Very happy to hear that! You will have a blast once you get in the groove and happy for ya.

https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/optimized#thetable
A lot of games have been delayed but you got a lot to work with esp missing last gen but above is more the window for the next year

Gears of War 5 definitely, they have a next gen upgrade for the Xbox X and loved some Gears.
Ori and the Will of Wisps is the prettiest game on there I think; wish it was on Playstation tbh
Medium (Xbox excl.) but more of a horror puzzle game (great reviews) but not horror like Resident Evil where you're firing off on zombies/bosses with weapons
Assassins Creed Valhalla fell flat on me, but that's been kind of a go-to for next gen games as well if you're into the Viking lore, etc. The combat is a little meh though tbh, but see a lot of people still plugging away on this game.

Games on Gamepass: think all of those above are too excep Valhalla, but these are cross gens I recommend
Doom Eternal (best shooter in a minute)
Star Wars Jedi Order (actually really good combat with the saber as I'm not a Star Wars guy but like the combat)
Titanfall 2 (surprisingly great campaign with good pacing)
The Outer Worlds (similar to Fallout if you've played those, same people made this game)
Resident Evil 7
Read Dead 2 and Witcher 3 definitely if haven't played before (Best rpgs I've played along with GTA 5)
(Witcher 3 is on there but would consider buying Read Dead 2 definitely)

Lemme stop before I list the whole game pass catalog...lol

Have fun and see you in 2022 :D

I have never played the Witcher 3 or any Witcher games. Do you have to have experience with prior Witcher games to fully appreciate it? I usually love open world RPG games

Nope not at all, I never played one before the 3rd and you'll be just fine. I would go with that one out of the gate, you won't be sorry outside of maybe not playing anything else for a month, etc. The Monster hunter quests were great but all the side missions actually have relevance and don't feel like fetch missions comp to most rpgs.

The characters are unique and interesting so makes it worth the investment to do most of the side missions wo feeling burdened, etc. They even have a card game called Gwent that's pretty addictive that you can play at various spots, reminded me of booray poker.
@JohnnyTheFox is pretty into the Witcher series too and knows his stuff if need any tips/insight, etc.

Gonna have to give it a try.

I hear they are working on upgrading the game
Too for the new gen systems. So I imagine those patches will be coming soon.

You may have more knowledge of certain characters by playing the previous entries, but the game is well paced and offers a ton of content. W3 was my first and it is an amazing game.

Im not sure if you like to play with various settings prior to playing, but one thing that I recommend changing is thr movement mode. I forget what its called but the original movement is heavy and less responsive, there's an alternate option that was added later that smooths it out, feels more natural and enjoyable. Might be labeled as movement or combat.

And if you play some of the game then you'll definitely pick up more in the tv series.

Man I absolutely loved Titanfall 2 campaign. That was well done. On the multiplayer side I don't think it was as good as TF1, but the campaign was excellent.
Also, loved Star Wars Jedi Order. I'm pretty sure I read it got a next gen update as well. So, you just reminded me to go check it out again. lol I beat it but there are still areas I can explore. :D

I wanted to ask about people’s experiences with Cyberpunk

I know it had all kinds of issues

Are those issues fixed well for the next gen systems with the latest patches?
Will it run well on a series x?

I hear the company is still
Working on patches and also an optimized version for the next gen consoles

Could I buy it now and then would I get the optimized version for free later on?

should I wait?

Thank you for the feedback. It has always intrigued me.

I will have to try it. It sounds like a game I would enjoy a lot. Right up my alley.

Cool website thanks for sharing.

I love games with big maps. I recognize it isn’t as open world.

I remember playing games like breath of the wild. Man I just spent entire nights just wandering around, exploring and checking stuff out.

Just to be clear the Witcher 3 is open world just not as open world as an Elder Scrolls title. Now the Witcher 1 and 2 were linear and not open world but still great games{especially 2}. Some people prefer the linear structure of a game because they want direction and they often feel lost in a open world sandbox type game because they feel lost and not sure what to do. The Elder Scrolls game do a wonderful job of making smaller maps seem larger than they actually are, Skyrim for example isn't that huge of a map but you do a lot of vertical climbing in the game which makes the world seem bigger, and Morrowind's maps isn't huge at all but is for the most part shrouded in a fog which makes the map seem bigger. Remove the fog via a mod and you can see how small the map really is.

The Hackers that stole CDPR source code for Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 story gets more stranger. Seems the hacker/s have sold the code over the dark web for what i guess is over 1 million dollars.
Hackers have successfully sold stolen CDPR source code and internal documents in a dark web auction | Massively Overpowered (massivelyop.com)

"Earlier this week we reported on a breach of CD Projekt Red’s systems that resulted in a number of stolen pieces of data, including source code for Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, Gwent, and Thronebreaker, with the intent of ransoming off the ill-gotten gains. CDPR refused, and now the hackers have gotten their payday by way of a dark web auction that happened this past Wednesday.

Reports of this auction were shared by darknet intelligence company KELA Research and malware archive vx-underground, detailing the unfolding of events via Twitter threads. vx-underground first shared that an auction for game source data as well as internal documents was being held on the EXPLOIT forums with a starting bid of $1 million and a buyout price of $7 million. The next day, KELA confirmed that the auction was closed after the seller received “a satisfying offer from outside the forum.” No details of how much was paid have been shared, and the hacker stated that no further distribution or selling will be taking place as per the terms of the sale.

This, of course, will likely not stop CDPR from following through with bringing the perpetrators to justice, but it does confirm that whoever performed the hack got their money either way".

I'm pretty sure you can find it cheap right now, especially in the physical form. I honestly didn't run into too many issues. Had some dialogue issues where the characters would talk over each other from time to time, but outside that, nothing really major to report. It is a solid game once you figure out what you're doing (picking up items, what to do with them, where to go next). Graphics were...meh....to me. Kind of all over the place. Some shots would look really good and then other times I wasn't very impressed. That didn't take away from the game play though. While I technically beat it, I've been meaning to go back and do side missions or try an alternative story.

Also to note, I was playing mine on a One X. I game share with a friend on Xbox and his account is still tied to my One X. I've been meaning to switch it over to my Series X but I was waiting until he found a Series X so we could switch them both at the same time. My point being, I didn't run into many issues on the One X. I cannot speak to how the game was on the Series X, though, I imagine it couldn't be worse.
