So, I've been enjoying Borderlands 3. I'll admit, at first I wasn't sure how I felt about the cartoon style graphics, but the deeper I get into the game the more I love it. I've never played any other Borderlands, so maybe they're the same, but I like the design of the game. It's more of an open map type game (with different planets you can travel to) and has kind of a linear story mode feel, if you choose. I like that mix. Different than just one gigantic open-world map. So, yeah, it has my vote! :D

I've always loved Borderlands, but I haven't quite been able to get into the new one as much as I have the previous games. I cant6put my finger on it. I think it's because I don't like the roster as much.

If you're enjoying it, definitely go pick up the Handsome Jack Collection so you can play Borderlands 2. Handsome Jack is one of the greatest pop culture characters ever written and acted, and his villainous quips are pure gold. He's so good that they're bringing him back for the first Borderlands 3 DLC.

Well, got talked into going out to a couple places for Black Friday shopping. At one stop I walked out with a Nintendo Switch. The controllers need charged, but with setup and quickly checking it out, seems pretty cool. I really didn't need another console, but, I thought why not? My buddy got one and he was sending me pics of all the old NES/SNES titles you can access. Kind of sold me. :D

I didn't expect to like the Switch but It is a cool platform. A couple of things to note though are the analog sticks on the joy-cons are pretty crap. They work fine but wear out way too quickly, which leads to some drifting (moving a direction on their own). Also, be careful when putting it in the dock. A lot of people have scratched the screen doing that. Not sure if they've addressed that since the launch though. I highly recommend the latest Zelda game.

Funny you mention that! I was thinking that when I was docking it last night (that it has the potential to scratch)! The guy tried to sale me a screen cover too, and at the time I didn't think I needed it, but I could see where it could be worthy.

Shoot I like the switch. Wish my ex left it...I paid for most of the games lol. Bayonetta 2 is a great action game I recommend and Payday 2 (armed robbery game) that takes place in D.C.

There are several no brainer Switch games that you can't miss with like Zelda and Smash Bros.

But my favorite game is Mario + Rabbids King Battle. This is a fantastic game is you like strategy RPGs, and the sense of humor is great. It also has a good co op mode. Unlike most Nintendo games, this one can be had for about $20 these days.

Yeah I definitely want Smash Bros. Mine came with Mario Kart, which is fine, but the main prize my eyes are on that game for sure! I hear great things about Zelda as well.

Haven't played a Pokemon game since '98 when i got Pokemon Red for my bday. I vaguely remember having every Pokemon except I couldn't find a Tauros and it drove me crazy.

I see this one is getting good reviews, let us know how it is.

I finally bought a switch. So far I have bought Pokémon shield and I bought Zelda: Breath of the Wild also.

I have put about 5 hours into Pokémon shield. Not even at the first gym yet. But so far it’s a lot of fun. The story and dialogue is obviously kid oriented but the gameplay mechanics and combat mechanics are far deeper than they were in the original games.

Side note; I’m already in love with the switch. Being able to transition from handheld to a console instantly is pretty damn awesome.

also, I paid for the yearly subscription to Nintendo online and it comes with a ton of old school NES games and Super Nintendo games. Being able to play the original games handheld is great so far.
