I wonder if its gonna be to Witcher what Fallout is ro Elder ScrollsIt does look good from what I've seen and almost seems like a futuristic sci fi Fallout w/rpg decisions and weapon mods. Should be cool.
Anyone else excited about Cyberpunk?
So the next chapter in Elder Scrolls Online is going to have random dragon attacks....
Yes.....random dragon attacks
Random. Dragon. Attacks
The gall ZOS has

Yes.
And Im sure there will also be a hat involved
I am hopeful that Pantheon will turn out to be the great "return to old school" MMO that it promotes itself to be, but it is hard to be optimistic with game companies these days. It seems like most of them are more worried about over-monetizing rather than making and expanding great games.Haha, count me out.
Have maybe 50 hours total in the game and just cant get into it. Seems most of it not all MMO's these days have a cash shop/crown store/etc to nickle and dime the customers. Even one of my favorite MMO's, LOTRO has a cash shop which is a ultimate no go for me. Don't mind paying for expansions, even 15 bucks a month but draining every nickle from Joe A Consumer has gone way to far.
Maybe I will wait for WOW classic server in a few months or Pantheon Rise of the Fallen.

I was going to give WoW another shot but they completely changed leveling from a fun adventure to a major grind session when they implemented their level scaling patch and I neither enjoy nor have time for that kind of time sink any more.
I really enjoy MMOs but all of them either ask for or require money constantly or they seem like they are on their last leg. The few older MMOs that do not push micro-transactions and cash shops on you are so old that starting them as a new player now is either impossible or an overwhelming process.

I have not paid $40 or more for a game for a while now. I mainly have been buying digital versions of old school games that I owned in the past but got rid of when they are deeply discounted on GOG. I have bought a few recent games as well but I wait until they go on sale. I plan to travel a lot this year so having those DRM-free games will be handy especially when internet access is sporadic. This is absolutely the truth. It has really changed the gaming industry. While I may be guilty of buying something cheap here or there, I absolutely refuse to get on this train. Activison is destroying the Call of Duty franchise in this way.
Though, some developers are better than others. Turn 10, creators of the Forza Racing Series for Microsoft, introduced prize crates (surprise, surprise) in Forza 7. The community push back was so loud that they actually took those out of the game entirely. I was impressed by that.

Some European countries have already created or are in the process of creating laws against "loot boxes" in games because they are a form of gambling and there are a lot of younger kids buying them.
Cyberpunk 2077 officially became a release day purchase for me after I watched that 48-minute walk-through video back in August. Hopefully they'll announce a release date sometime in the near future.Anyone else excited about Cyberpunk?
Supposed to be sometime this year right?Cyberpunk 2077 officially became a release day purchase for me after I watched that 48-minute walk-through video back in August. Hopefully they'll announce a release date sometime in the near future.

Did you play any ofbthe Witcher series?
https://www.techradar.com/news/cyberpunk-2077-release-date-trailer-and-newsIn an investor call in early 2016 it was suggested that Cyberpunk 2077 would be released before June 2019. It was also said in this call that CD Projekt Red is planning to release two new triple A RPGs before 2021.
It was later clarified in forums that Cyberpunk 2077 would be the first of these games to arrive and work on the second would not start before Cyberpunk 2077 was finished.
Considering The Witcher 3 took around three and a half years to develop, a 2019 release doesn’t seem unmanageable for the studio.
Im kinda interested to see what else they are working on
Hear that, esp older days bf DLC was even a thought. A new game is the full game.Yep, a lot of kids today have been groomed to think loot boxes/DLC/episodes are the norm. They have no clue what came before so they don't know any better. I love gaming{especially PC} but I miss the old days, they were indeed much better.
