Simply put, they are worried that their team is no longer a dominant team in NFCE and that they will be a bottom feeder for awhile.

I think Donovan is STILL a great QB but his coach's and front office's philosophy towards receivers will be the reason why he will never get a SB victory. They tried a quality WR one time and when it didn't work, they went back to what they used to do. Also doesn't help that they throw so much.

It doesn't matter how good a QB he is if he doesn't have a running game & some decent WRs. Too often Reid has his offense out of balance with his intense like of the passing attack and little regard for the run. It wasn't an accident that the Eagles came on last season after McNabb went down and Garcia and the Eagles running attack took them to the playoffs.

Now McNabb having physical problems coming back from his injury and yet on national television a few weeks ago all Reid had him doing was throwing. It's the responsibility of Reid and the FO to give McNabb the talent he needs to help him and they've failed miserable. No accident only time they made the SB was with TO.

Cowboys have the talent around Romo but certainly there room for improvement on both the OL and RB. But Romo's for real, never doubt that. Check out his stats for his first starting year (beginning last year thru this year) and they are astounding. By the end of this season or next year at the latest, everybody (including EAgle fans) will automatically be including Romo's name with Manning & Brady.

I think the rest of the NFC East has closed the gap or surpassed the Eagles.

Personally, I think we're better, but obviously we have to prove it on the field this year - and I think we will.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Giants give them fits as well. Eli seems to be making quicker decisions this year.

I think most troubling for the Eagles is that McNabb is not the clear cut best QB in the division any longer. Romo has emerged, Eli Manning is continually improving, and now even Jason Campbell is coming along as a solid starter with the Commanders. McNabb is getting older, seems to be always looking over his shoulder, and is not as effective as he once was with a weaker supporting cast and banged up legs.

Yes other teams have caught up. True.
Donovan's best years are behind him. True.

I agree about the mediocre at best WR's he was given... except for TO... He had his best statistical year by far with a great WR in TO.... If he could have made it work with TO maybe they do something... win a SB... didnt happen to bad. Just think... in TO's first year with Eagles they not only go to SB but they lose by 3.

For the last part.... there was a time when the Dallas Cowboys ruled the NFL.... its happening again....

You could make the case that it started after SB loss... what is his starting record since then?
