I thought the girl blew him out of the water, especially based upon clarity of voice and uniqueness. He also sounds a little nasaly to me and likes to over-exaggerate his runs.

His voice is very Neyo-like, but stronger. I liked how he was able to control his runs. I disagree that he exaggerated his runs. He did them in the places where he needed to do it, just as she did. The song didn't call for alot of vocal acrobatics. Folks who sing like him have a tendency to go waaay beyond what he did. He sung with a nuance that really can't be overstated.

I thought she did really well, as well, tho. Her voice isn't that unique, tho. Every year, they bring a girl like her on the show. She has that soft, singer/talking voice that the judges all like, but can never get the girl over the top. If she can show she can sing beyond the singer/talker soft range that she has, then she has a chance. She's better than last year's girl, tho.

I really liked their duet, though. Their voices meshed really well to me.

Good to see Christina is still clueless. I thought Timyra-Joi killed it.

I was shocked nobody stole her. Compared to the steals that did occur she was waaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

I thought Timyra-Joi was great, but still a bit unseasoned in comparison to the other girl. Doesn't mean she can't sing, but that's why they call it a battle. There were some things within the song that the other girl did just a bit better at than Timyra-Joi. So I can understand why Cristina picked her. Why no one stole her is another matter altogether. Maybe they didn't really want to have two very similar vocalists in the competition this year? I don't know.

Blake's oddball steal was goofy. He's good for having one odd choice on his team. I'm still mad he picked the blonde chick over the pure country dude. I loved that guy.

And get rid of the short, fat creep who can only get girls with ecstasy. He is vile, crude and lacks scruples when judging the girls who sang.
