The Walking Dead (S5) - 2nd half of season thread ***Spoilers***

From next episode's preview, appears this Alexandria is as close to "normal living" as the group could get. All the houses appear clean and maintained.

Having read about this whole arc in the comics...wow, this is going to be good :)

Abraham...they seem to be foreshadowing something with him. Last week it was Sasha accidentally slicing open his arm. This week he completely botches an easy zombie kill and gets bailed out by Rosita. Battery dies on him. Something's up.

And Rick, don't take RT 16N or 23N. They're both tricks. Neither exists anywhere near Alexandria coming up from Richmond. You've got the wrong map!

on that cut, I wondered how tragic that could be to cut a zombie then a friends arm with zombie blood on knife. was waiting for that to turn out bad.

Yes always perplexed that the zombie blood does not transfer the disease. It only seems logical that any contact with zombie fluid to open wounds would lead to one becoming a zombie.

Other than that I am liking were the season is going, just hope this next "safe refuge" doesn't turn out to be another trap. That template for interaction with other humans is getting a bit old.

yea, getting tired of the run around. but if zombie blood itself was the issue, then i'd imagine that smashing the head would have been an issue long ago for anyone with a flesh wound. :) so i just let it go.

as for this season, yea. develop something more than being on the run.

They all are infected already. The victim has to die to become a zombie and apparently the bite is the only thing that kills the victim.

Maybe they plan on mixing them into a Trueblood reboot...

I think true blood ran it's course...the last 1-3 seasons were really bad.

Although I still enjoyed seeing Sookie Sookie lol

That's why I said reboot... series was officially over last year, although like you, I think it was really over about 3 seasons ago...

Trueblood the drinking game would be great. Drink every time someone says "Suckie" in a bad Cajun accent. The over/under for being drunk is 7.5 minutes in...

I liked last nights episode.

It's going to set up the next arc of the story pretty well I think.

My son and I were laughing about how "Officer Friendly" had returned.

What I liked about the episode...

-Rick got a hair-cut and a shave. The zombie apocalypse has aged him. But of course it's been 5 years since the pilot was filmed.
-Rick put on a policeman's uniform– but he obviously isn't the same guy as before this started.
-The place that they're in is a refreshing change from the rest of the series.
-The place overcomes that "Stepford Wives" feel of Terminus because there are jerks there, and they make themselves known quickly.
-The interaction between Michonne and Rick.
-Carol's con-job.

What I didn't like about the episode...

-The status quo won't last.

LOL!

Yeah, but he ain't the same friendly cop he was prior to the roadblock in the first episode.

He is on the edge of being a "bad" guy.

Last night's episode was the first good one of this season, afaic. It's a pretty great setup for the rest of the season. Pulling Daryl out of the fight and telling him 'not *yet*' I thought was more ominous than the comment that ended the show. Should be getting good from here.

Have to wonder:

What is the leader (Deanna's) of Alexandria's master plan? Will she be bringing in Negan to take care of Glenn?

You know she is fuming inside after her son got *****ed by Glenn

You also know Rick is going to make that woman's husband a cuckold - and he is going to want blood.

There were a number of scenes I liked in last night's episode. The one I liked best was when Glenn decked Deanna's "I Think I'm An ROTC Badass" son. The second best scene happened soon afterwards when Rick stopped his group from kicking the you know what out of Deanna's son and his partner.
