The way we beat TB is turning Pollard loose

Pollard may get stuff but Pollard always breaks a run for a TD or a big gain. If he had more attempts he would have scored a TD.

Why say stuff like this? When was the last time Pollard had a big gain? You have to to all the way back to Jacksonville for his last 20 yard run. The previous week against the Texans Zeke had the only 20+ yard run and the week before that against Indy everybody had at least one.. Then against the Giants again Zeke had the only 20+ yard run. The fact of the matter is since Zeke came back from the missed games he has more 20+ yard runs than Pollard does. But again.. it should never be about that.. It should be about getting guys in position to make plays and winning games not worrying about who is doing what. If the line blocks all our backs can do damage. I firmly believe that when the line is getting its collective arse handed to it, our best chance of any sort of running game is Zeke because of his ability to push the pile and wear the defense down. Then once he does, we can turn Pollard loose on 'em. But Moore is never going to give him the ball enough to let that happen. He's simply not patient enough to play that way..

He is averaging 5.2 yards and coaches didn’t play him vs Titians and against the Commanders they gave him 8 snaps and averaged 2.7 in limited snaps which was higher than Zeke.

The coaching staff has failed PERIOD.

We need to run the ball 30+ time’s minimum…

And the way you do that is by passing on the first down more than usual .

We run on first down more than anyone - you flip the script Monday by mixing it up .

Pollard needs 20 Carries - Zeke 10 +

If Dak throws 45 times we lose
Start Rush, because we witnessed two straight games against Tamp with Prescot at QB and all Prescot has done is crap down his leg because Tampa's DC knows Prescot's weaknesses!

Pollard was in the game a lot more than 8 snaps 29 to be exact. Zeke was in for 32. But what is the point in acting as if giving either back more carries was going to yield better results yesterday? The line lost.. the only chance we had of getting the running game out of the starting blocks would have been for Pollard to break one or for Zeke and the offensive line to beat up on their defense for 25 carries. We got neither.

One thing I am interested to see is whether Zeke drops the knee brace for the playoff game. I've played in one of those things and I can start from personal experience they rob you of speed and quickness. Hopefully he feels good enough about the knee to lose it next Monday. We also need Pollard to get back closer to full speed too. Tampa's D is stout inside so any damage we do running is going to have to be on the edges.

If we try to run 30 times we lose. Unless we get a big lead first. Tampa is too good at stopping the run. Love the more Pollard idea, but it needs to be in the passing game and run game. Zeke should take seat save short yardage and GL. But we all know he will be featured by Moore.

Only way to beat Tampa is attacking their secondary and throwing the ball.
I agree

commit to running the ball, but we need run game to be somewhat successful. not 1 or 2 yard pick up. also mix it up on first downs. our first down calls are very predictable. and then swing passes to pollard from the backfield. move him around.

Zeke's longest run against the titans was 6 yards. Davis had the long run 18 yards and catch for 23 + yards

Zeke is getting plowed not doing the plowing. Ha ha ha

Hes still plowing near the goal line but that's all she wrote.

And quit running the damn ball smack dab right into the meat of the D will help! I feel like I’m watching an 80’s HS team lately with these running game play calls…..

Not sure why Zeke does that.

Formatting issues... lol
Zeke does that because that’s the play called. Yesterday he ran the play and said screw this and bounced outside and they were still all waiting.

The Cowboys haven’t had a running game in three weeks and Pollard has only put 38 yards on 16 carries the last two games. We’ve struggled to run the ball ever since Terrence Steele went out. Tyron hasn’t looked very good at RT being dominated yesterday by Montez Sweat. Opponents have been bent on stopping our running game. We’re not likely to have much success running the ball against Tampa who has a very solid defensive front. We only had 78 yards rushing against them in the opener. Tampa will stack up against our running a game and force Dak to throw. Anytime the Cowboys can’t run the ball they struggle and Dak struggles.

I have been watching all the players lately. They all sucked yesterday.

I like the team and Prescott that beat the Eagles a few weeks ago. Anyones guess which team shows up next Monday. At the end of the day, thats all that matters.

Sadly this is a worn out, injury plagued team at this point. MM had a big opportunity to rest players the last 3 weeks and he decided to play everyone the whole time. It backfired miserably.

Do you even know his average for the year?

5.2 yards

You are nothing more than a hater.
Oh you went with the hater without ANY evidence. I have MANY TIMES OVER...supported BOTH of our running backs.

We can check that if you are that obstinate and stupid.

How about you? You support both RB's?

You don;t. But there is ZERO accountability here. So feel free to keep on.

I was going to start a Tampa thread, but since I just started a thread and don't really care too much about Brady, I'll keep it here.

It's strange to me that this is Brady's first year to put up a losing record. And he's still going to the playoffs, and hosting the 12-5 Cowboys.

I'm with everyone who says if we can't beat Brady, we can't win the SB anyway. So we have to beat this chump.
