CFZ The wheels could come off early this year

You started it off based on the team as a whole, but then you finished it off with your true intention: all blame on Dak.

Same poster. Same story. Over and over and over and over...
:facepalm: :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
He didn't lie.
Dak has to play well for the cowboys to have a chance to win.
You're being a little too sensitive, here.

Could start 0-5 or 5-0. Whatever anyone thinks of those opponents, they’ve got no clue on how good they will actually be. Me included. You can’t start the season as if it’s the next game from the end of last year. Teams change, chemistry changes, and who the hell knows.

I could start a thread saying nothing can stop us based on that start. That would also be an opinion = to toilet paper. Not to criticize you, but to accentuate the futility of predicting the level of the teams this season.

Here are 3 of many predictions from the start of last season on nfl.com:

3) Kevin O'Connell changes everything for the Vikings

9) My Super Bowl LVII pick

Buffalo Bills over Green Bay Packers.

5) Don't sleep on the Steelers

Could go 5 and 0.
If that happens @leeblair will implode :omg:
Nope. He was active on the old Scout forums. Same schtick
ahh you remember him?

He actually had pages and pages of arguing that Moore was a HOF type QB and better than Romo. His argument was based on one throw. Which was intercepted. I shiet you not.

Also he was in love. Man love with tashard Choice. Arguing he was as good or better than emmitt.... seriously there is something wrong with this guy.

@leeblair

All depends on offensive coaching and quarterback decision making. Those are the primary ingredients to team success this year.
I believe the defense will keep the team competitive regardless though.

Offensively, it all comes down to our Oline. Period. End of discussion.

How is that for sensitivity?

I remember when he announced that he was from that day forward, going to be a Vikings fan… For reasons that they were, at the time, the model franchise and the rest of the NFL would soon be copying them.
Sadly for Minnesota, they weren’t… and sadly for us he reappeared after a couple of months.

We aren't losing to the Giants come on now
That game is far from a lock, especially on the road. I’m surprised how many fans are disrespecting the Giants. We’re not going to know what kind of team the Cowboys have until opening day. They haven’t played any of their starters in preseason and the players they’ve played haven’t looked overly impressive. We looked terrible in the opener last season. Our starters looked rusty and unprepared. Dak continues to throw picks in training camp. The Cowboys better be ready to play when they show up in New York.

Last time Dak lost to the Giants was his rookie year. I am not worried at all about them. They are easily a tier below us talent wise. It could hoenstly be a blowout by Dallas if I am being honest about it.

With the schedule the Cowboys have I’m not about to start pounding my chest. Many on this board were predicting the Cowboys would give the Bucs a good old-fashioned butt whipping on opening day last season and we saw how that game turned out. The Cowboys haven’t won their opener since 2019. Like every season I’m in a wait and see mode. We haven’t seen our starters play all preseason. Dak continues to throw INT‘s in training camp. We have a new offense, and we haven’t tested it out in a real game with our starters. Dak and Cooks haven’t had an opportunity to build some chemistry in an actual game. I’m not totally thrilled with the way we’ve handled preseason. With a new offense, and adding a new receiver, I felt we should’ve given our starters at least a couple of series in preseason. Say what you will about the Giants, but they have improved and we can’t afford to come stumbling out of the gates on opening day on the road. Looking at the schedule the Cowboys need to get off to a good start. They simply can’t afford to lose to the Giants on opening day if they want to contend with Philly this season.

That means absolutely nothing. This is a new season and the Giants have improved and their crowd is going to be pumped. The Cowboys have lost three straight openers and Dak is continuing to throw INT‘s in training camp. No matter how many times the Cowboys burn the fans some of you continue to act like they’re invincible. I’m not saying they’re going to lose the opener, but I’m prepared for the worst because you never know what you’re going to get with the Cowboys. Look no further than last year‘s opener. I don’t think any of us expected them to look as pathetic as they did, especially at home.
