Last yr Dallas played the previous 2 SB teams early the Bengals & Rams and Dallas won both .
Both weren’t playing good when faced them. The Rams never got it going all season. Cincinnati got off to a rough start and fortunately we caught them at just the right time. We would’ve never beaten them later in the season. Cincinnati ended up with a better team than the Cowboys.

Why is it when other teams lose, they just “got off to a rough start”, and are actually much better? But when Dallas loses, they just suck?

With the Cowboys opening vs the Giants, and then following that with the Jets, Cardinals, Patriots and 49'ers, the dream season could turn into a nightmare before the Cowboys get started.
While they are coasting through the preseason they are heading into a hornets nest with each of the first five teams they face. Only the Cardinals seem to be weaker this season, and that's only because they have uncertainty at the quarterback spot and coaching issues.
The Jets are coming to Dallas with something to prove and with Aaron Rogers at the helm; The Cowboys face the Cardinals in Arizona, the Patriots at home, and then back on the road to San Francisco.
Then they are at the Chargers before getting the Rams at home. By this point it is very possible that the Cowboys could be 3-5. Then they are at the Eagles before again facing the Giants at home. If things are going bad by the time they face the Eagles, this could end up as two more losses.
Then they go to Carolina and get Washington at home. This is really their first easy part of the season.
At home vs the Seahawks is winnable, but then they get the Eagles at home and then go to Buffalo and Miami.
They get the Lions at home, but I think the Lions will be tough. They finish at Washington.
This year could very easily end up at 5 wins and 12 losses. If things start going bad, they will likely stay bad.
This is the year Dak will have to be all that his fans hype him to be. He will have to be the reason that the Cowboys take the next step. The defense cannot hold up if they are having the carry the team by themselves. This is the year that there will be no excuses for Dak. He will either rise to the challenge or the Cowboys will implode.
If he doesn't, the Cowboys will get a high draft pick next year, and probably a new head coach.

Cincinnati got off to a rough start and started playing outstanding football as the season went on. They won their last eight consecutive games and were beating Buffalo when that game was canceled. They made it to the conference title game, while the Cowboys once again lost in the divisional round. They were clearly a better team than the Cowboys last season. By the way where did I say the Cowboys sucked?

That game is far from a lock, especially on the road. I’m surprised how many fans are disrespecting the Giants. We’re not going to know what kind of team the Cowboys have until opening day. They haven’t played any of their starters in preseason and the players they’ve played haven’t looked overly impressive. We looked terrible in the opener last season. Our starters looked rusty and unprepared. Dak continues to throw picks in training camp. The Cowboys better be ready to play when they show up in New York.
Yup
Dallas starters, if they don't any preseason game reps, may show up with training-camp hangover and not play well.

This team won't be 5-12.

If they are though, so be it. There are worse things in life.

Just enjoy the ride. Call me a loser for that "defeatist" attitude but I can't change a danged thing on this team and neither can anyone else.
It's up to the coaches and team, who we have zero control over, and never will no matter what we say or do on a forum.

Their wins or losses aren't ours. The failure or Super Bowls aren't ours. We do nothing but sit in our corner and say what we say and it matters not, one, bit.

I love to speculate and play at football, but we aren't the people being paid millions to do this job nor do any of us even remotely deserve to be. We are not smarter than them no matter how much you love to say you are. If you were you'd be doing their job.
I'm sure I'll complain but I'm here for the ride.

Just like last season when he thought the Cowboys would crash and burn after the Tampa loss. Parsons and company are not going to let the Cowboys fail in the regular season.

I just have this feeling the Giants might get lucky while Dak is shaking off rust. Dak has owned the Giants for so long they are almost due for a loss. I think the Jets will expose this offensive line and both QBs struggle with Rodgers making a few more plays than Dak. Dallas beats the Cardinals and Patriots. They play the 49ers and for some reason I guess since its a regular season game Dak plays well and Dallas gets a win and this forum erupts declaring the Cowboys are going to the SB. This leads to over confidence and Dallas follows that win with 3 losses to the Chargers, Rams and Eagles.

There's a reason Jerry talked Quinn I to staying.
Still going on the 5 week McCarthy bye-bye plan.
Just in time to salvage the season
