it was a marginal offside. my initial reaction was he was just offside but after seeing replays and freeze frames he may have been in line, the linesman doesn't have the luxury of slow motion replays and has to make the call on what he sees in real time. you have been on the receiving end of two dubious decisions the last two games that are costing you massively at the moment but to suggest its part of a massive conspiracy to keep the game from taking off in the u.s.a because the rest of the world is scared you'd dominate is funny. particularly when you've spent the last few weeks complaining about the rest of the world apparently trying to shove the sport down your throat and make you like it.

Marginal my ***....and you sure as hell don't raise that flag in that situation unless its certain. Benefit in the box is usually given to the attacker. You just don't take away legit goals...it's far more acceptable to give a questionable goal than it is to take away a legit one.

That was yet another HUGE **** up by FIFA officials. They've royally **** the bed....and at this point, it looks like the its going to cost the US advancement, when they should actually be leading the group. Pathetic.

i was referring to the anti soccer thread. i would say best athletes is probably too open to interpretation to claim anyone definitively produces them

Understandable.

This was the first time I've made an attempt to follow the sport since my college playing days. Sadly, I think the things that pushed me away from the sport are far worse now than ever. Even with a US victory here, I'm not sure I'll be watching soccer again. The diving and officiating are so poor, that I can't fathom why anyone would enjoy this. It's on par with WWE wrestling at this point.

US just missed another perfect opportunity. They just can't put it in the net. Sad, and incredibly frustrating.
