Ask anyone in the highest levels of leadership.

The worst thing you can do when running a company is be indecisive... well boys (and girls) the Cowboys are so indecisive right now it's scary.

You want to keep the coach? Renew him.
You want to keep the QB? Renew him.
You want to improve? Get players and coaches to do that.

They are in a mindset of "letting things playout". That doesn't win at anything.

Make a decision and execute.

you are foolish if you think they are just wandering the building thinking , what should we do, wat should we do, what should we do.
Maybe its them that have a plan and everyone on here is saying they should have this or that plan and they disagree.

Maybe the Cowboys never once considered signing a FA running back and decided weeks ago to draft their next starter.
They have a coach under contract, so there is ZERO reason for them to give him a new contract today. When the season is over and they decide they do or dont ant the coch, they decide then. The Cowboys hold all the cards.

The Cowboys have never been shy at telling you what they are doing... people just dont listen. As Fisher said yesterday, they told you their plan when they said they are taking calls from interested players..... they never said they were making calls. Maybe people should actually listen.

Not making a decision is also making a decision.

The end is here.

Incompetence spreads like mold. You have to stop it in its tracks before it permeates everything. Jerry should read The Art of War a few times until he understands. When things go wrong, it is always the General's fault.

Agreed. You can not like their plan which any fan has the right to. However to say they are wandering around not knowing what to do like idiots is off base.

+1 for snappy title

Letting thing play out might seem like a plan... but it's not. You need a DIRECTION. Where are the Cowboys going not only this year but the next 5?

The season ended, the Cowboys had a DECISION to make on Mike McCarthy. They chose to not do anything... Let it play out.
The off season began, they had a DECISION to make on Dak. They have chose to not do anything... Let it play out.
I'm not big in FA. I think, more often than not, it's fools gold. But they have holes, they chose to not do anything!

This isn't a plan. This isn't a direction. This is floundering.

PS: Having some of your highest profile (aka: most important) roles not secured speaks volumes to not only them, but your competition. It speaks volumes to your direction or lack-there-of.

I didn't say they are "wondering around like idiots".

I've seen this in companies. They don't know "how to scale". They get almost paralyzed by the decisions that need to be made. They don't want to make a mistake and the "let things play out"....

It's not a direction.

Did you not read the tread title?
You believe they are being indecisive.

They aren’t being indecisive. I believe they’ve made some decisions and they have decided to do nothing. It might look indecisive to those that don’t want certain guys gone, but not making a decision on those people is telling you all you need to know.

Yea, some fans hear what they want to hear. I don’t believe they had intentions on being involved in FA .

And a result having a deal done with Dak in March wasn’t pertinent. Cowboys can still restructure his contract and save Cap room pushing out an extension into the beginning of season.

Everyone who’s signed with someone else was on the prospective list of letting walk. Doing nothing appears to have been the plan.

I coached fastpitch for 20 years. If a kid wasnt starting in the championship game... those actions spoke loudly...... to those smart enough to listen.

who says they had to act on Mike? Who says they must make a decision on Mike? You?
Dak? They have already made their decision. Jerry has said over and over and over that Dak is their QB..... people just dont want to listen. Just because they havent done a deal today doesnt mean a decision on Dak hasnt been made. Sorry Jerry doesnt have you on speed dial to inform you of these decisions.

Don't necessarily disagree but this team needs to get better on defense and in a hurry. They were murdered on D last year, especially on run D. They need healthy LB's and a scheme that can let Micah Parsons be effective. I think their secondary will be pretty good but certainly an interior DT, another DE and LB's are a heavy priority.

Absolutely. At least look like you have a plan and some small shred of competence!
Yep! Decide to rebuild and shed bad contracts and trade away assets for the future, or go for it and solve your weaknesses. Enough with this half-in, half-out. The Eagles, the 49ers, and the Packers are running rings around us.

That’s exactly it. Niners been running circles around them for years and it just got a whole lot worse!
