Don Corleone;2865505 said:Thanks for posting theo. I was high on Miles Austin early last year, as a lot of us were, so I hope he picks up where he left off!

I've read a few other boards. Some of them praise Austin as having a great camp. Others have downplayed it.
I've noticed those that have downplayed his performances often use that to elevate Hurd's performance. So I wonder if those folks have an agenda....or if beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Frankly, I think Austin has more potential to be the number one. But I wouldn't have my feelings hurt if Hurd develops into a better option at number 2 or 3.
Surprisingly, I'm rooting for both guys.

Barber is overpaid, Jones is injury prone and can only do 7 reps and Choice was only succesful against all those great defenses because teams overlooked him.
Carpenter is a bust, there is no possible way he will get better. Ever.
Drafting a kicker was a wasted pick.
Wade doesnt know what he's doing.
Jenkins was a wasted pick and is already a bust. We should just release him now because of that one bad play last yr.
It was stupid to use a 2nd rd pick on another TE, especially after we gave away Fasano for nothing.
Wasted picks, we needed a backup NT
You must have been mistaken, according to most Garrett is a boob with only 3 plays in the playbook. He would never think of something like this.
Wasted pick, we should have kept Pac Trash Jones and his 4.5yds per punt return.
He's injury prone too.
Garrett has told him to save that for week one.
How can we possibly consider cutting Clint Stoerner II? We will surely rue the day.

I read a post that says he is slow and gets beat constantly, therefore he is a bust.
Spencer is a trouble maker who is injury prone. Oh, and he's a bust.
We should have traded every draft pick for the next 3 seasons to acquire Crabtree, that would have solved all our problems.
Jones and co were just stupid to pin the seasons hopes on an undrafted WR. There's no possible way Austin will amount to anything here.
See above Bennett note.
Again, Wade is a fool and doesnt have a clue. No reason to expect any improvement whatsoever.
Dont even get me started on him. He clearly is an injury prone, middle of the pack CB. One of the most overrated players in football, easily.
You'd think we just came off a Super Bowl season.
Ok, a trip to the NFC Championship game
A Playoff win?
Oh yeah, Baltimore with back to back 75+ yard TD's allowed and 44-6.
Until proven otherwise, I'll take my kool aid spiked, please

I still am. I was one of the biggest (if not the biggest) supporters of Tashard Choice pre-draft. I thought he was a first round talent and think he could be a starter for the majority of teams in the NFL. With all of that said, I am thoroughly convinced that Felix Jones should be the starter and the feature back in this offense. He should have *at least* 200 touches this season -- rushing. Add on another 40+ receiving. This guy is truly amazing and is far and away the best running back that we have.
Temo;2864819 said:Bobby Carpenter is like me in football: I wasn't very good, but I'd be the best guy in practice because I'd always go 100%. Problem is, when everyone else would go from 80%->100% in games, I'd still be stuck at the same practice level.
Yea, so don't get too excited about him just yet.
