THEORY: Harrington could be key to Young getting to Cowboys

I just was thinking about this scenario. Most of the draft boards have Vince Young going to the Cards with the tenth pick. Well what happens if the Cards take a safer pick and sign Harrington for cheap?? between them and the 16th pick nobody other than clevland needs a Qb. and i think they would rather get cutler. so what happens if he goes to 16??? Do you think that mr jones would move those two spots and grab young based on the fact he a Texas guy and he sells tickets??? I do. Im not praying for this and im not sure if i even want it to happen. Just a theory i was kicking around while at work

My actuall question is What are the chances of all three scenarios falling in place??

1. Harrington to cards
2. Young drops to 16
3. Dallas moves in on him

Oh and also the raiders dont take him. I think they gonna grab huff tho.

The Cards made a mistake in extending Warner's contract and not trying to retain McKown. Warner is done and has been for a few years. McKown is still an unknown and they should have tried to find out if he was the answer. Saying all that, I can't figure out who Arizona will take. They could take young, but they really need o-line help.

No, I don't think so. First I'll contend with your analysis that Harrington is the safer pick. Just don't think that's true. Second, I'm pretty confident that both Young and Cutler will be gone by #10. If not, though, I would put the chances of Jerry trading up to #16 to take Young at about 5%.

By the way, this decision would have nothing to do with the coach. If we were to draft Young he wouldn't play his first year, perhaps only half of his second year. In all likelihood, BP is gone after this year.

Vince Young will not fall to 18 pick. If he did I would bet 50 dollars that Jones would take him. I am that confident. The Boys wouldn't even pass on Culter if he was there at 18.

JJ doesn't need VY on the team to sell tickets....they will get sold without him, and plus TO will be the draw on ticket sales this year. And VY would not be, because he will be Bringing water to the sideline for Bill sitting the bench otherwise.
