I think back at the huge critical Philly game in 2019, in a critical drive when both Cooper and Cobb were sidelined (benched?) ..and we had to resort to settled used special teams WR
I heard sideline radio reporter Christie Scales sideline reports that Cooper/Cobb on sidelines is not injury related - but just a coaches decision.
Because it was also Cobb involved too, I assume the issue was more Sanjay Lai (WR Coach) than the two WRs.
But when I found out about the escape clause option in Cooper’s re-signed contract, I kept that I the corner of my mind.
And what really the concerns about Cooper’s character became more public with the non-vax situation that both Jerry and Michael Irvin were publicly critical of Coop.
I just wonder if there was a combination of things that led to moving on without Cooper:
1) amount of money for a guy they expected to be an elite WR
2) Character (loaf?) concerns: he wasn’t a loudly diva public, but could there be a ‘ care free’ tone the club wasn’t fond of ?
3) the persistent injuries that continued to hamper and limit Coop
And that elite status does includes Cooper proving he can compete and beat the better coverage CBs.
