So many long time fans like myself have seen so much post season failure from this team the past 27 years, that we are just conditioned to expect the worse.Unlike years past, it feels that fans and the media are just not hopping into the bandwagon with this team.
Dare I say it, I think we will go into an underdog for the first two playoffs game if we are so lucky
In a league in which the entire conference is pretty much lame, we have an excellent chance of being less lame.Unlike years past, it feels that fans and the media are just not hopping into the bandwagon with this team.

East Coast biased media is shaping the narrative.
I remain confident and believe in this team. We've seen the Cowboys overcome many games that would have led to losses. For example, we don't go 4-1 without Dak under Red.
They lost games they held leads in (Packers, Jags) but for the most part they handled business (12-4).
I'm probably the outlier then.Unlike years past, it feels that fans and the media are just not hopping into the bandwagon with this team.

The two overtime losses to Green Bay and Jacksonville have soured the outlook for many fans. The Cowboy’s defense gave up leads of 14 points and 17 points respectively in those two overtime losses. If not for those losses, the Cowboys would be sitting at 13-2, and hold the number one seed in the playoffs.
Although the defense can be rightfully credited with keeping the team live early in the season when Cooper Rush was filling in for Dak at QB, it seems as though they have taken a big step back since Dak returned. It’s almost as if the explosion in the offensive scoring has given the defense an excuse to relax. Sacks are down dramatically, and overall the defense has been playing poorly.
Certainly, a big reason for this is the loss of Lewis and more importantly, Anthony Brown in the secondary. But Micah Parsons is visibly not the same player he was early in the season, and the Cowboys have suffered a decline in performance as a result. Hankins was another costly loss on the defensive line.
I believe that fans are skeptical of the Cowboys both because of recent history in the playoffs and because of the decline in defensive performance. The saying, “Defense wins Championships” may be somewhat of a myth, as only 2-3 of the Super Bowls have been won without a potent offense to go along with a good defense. But the defensive decline in the latter part of this season has a lot of fans ready to write off the Cowboys.
Until the Cowboys get the 27 year old monkey off their collective backs, it’s completely understandable why much of the fan base and media are not buying in. In fact, there’s not really a bandwagon to get on yet IMO.Unlike years past, it feels that fans and the media are just not hopping into the bandwagon with this team.

No one thought they’d win 12 games with Tyron and Dak missing 17 games.East Coast biased media is shaping the narrative.
