There’s not much belief in this team

Every game is like a movie to me. If I like it I'm going to want to see it again. If I don't like it, oh well. Every year there will be a play or a game that just brings up smile to my face and brightens my spirits. So even if they don't win a Super Bowl they are still responsible for bringing me some joy that year.

Plus I've really learnt not to worry about things I can't change or control. My fandom doesn't affect the way they play. So I don't let the way they play then effect my life.

I can't control my thoughts. I can't control my emotions. But I can control what I say and do. So even though I'm pissed I would not allow myself to show it. And the funny thing is when I stop showing anger, I stopped becoming angry.

So enjoy the little moments they give you. And stop showing anger, so you can live a healthier life. No one needs to be having an aneurysm, a stroke, or a heart attack.. just because the Cowboys loss.

My personal definition of crazy is the people who struggle to control themselves. Are you going to control your blood pressure or are you going to let the Cowboys control that for you?
Lot of wisdom there.
I think a lot here including myself feel more frustration than anger.
I don't let the losing bother me like I used to.

Unlike years past, it feels that fans and the media are just not hopping into the bandwagon with this team.

Dare I say it, I think we will go into an underdog for the first two playoffs game if we are so lucky
They wouldn't be an underdog against the South Champion. Come to think of it, they will be favored in game one against any team they get.

I mean you could be a lions fans or Vikings fan. Some of you are just a bit spoiled with the whole sb or bust bs

enjoy the ride it only comes around once a year and we’re going to win at least 12 games
so expecting a superbowl once in 27 years is too much?

hahaha-no-haha-no.gif

Until the Cowboys get the 27 year old monkey off their collective backs, it’s completely understandable why much of the fan base and media are not buying in. In fact, there’s not really a bandwagon to get on yet IMO.

I have hope in this team for sure. Do I have faith in this team? No. You can’t create believers until you’ve proven you’ve done something outside the norm. The norm for this team in the 21st century is to flirt with being good but folding when it matters most. They’ve done it over and over. Until they crack that glass wall, why should there be “belief”? I don’t fault anyone who believes or doesn’t believe. It’s all part of being a Cowboys fan.
They are good.

It's almost like when you fail for a quarter of a century with the same front office that people stop believing in you.

Cowboys could win the Super Bowl and people would still call it a fluke.

It probably has to do with the fact that this is the first time we are going to the playoffs back-to-back seasons since 2007. The last years terrible game vs SF is still fresh in everyone's minds.
Just to remind everyone, they lost by 6 points. If any team beats them this year, I suspect that it will be a very close exciting game. Enjoy the ride.

Hoping for is more accurate than expecting. It’s not an easy thing to do in cap era

you’re gonna go through a shitton of rolaids getting worked up about this team or an franchise for that matter . How bout being a cub fan and how long they waited

enjoy it

I'm not sure why but I have a feeling we will either win 2 playoff games or 0.

Ugly wins and no consistency. We could go all the way but will take luck.

I think we’ll win either 1,2,3 or 4 I’m reasonably confident we will beat nfc south after that it’s a lot??

but we’re in the tourney

No, thats exactly my point. I don't get worked up at all anymore, win or lose. This team is who they are and when they get to the big game, I will be there, but until then I am good with whatever. My life is not dictated by the results of how the Cowboys do anymore. Nowadays a 12-5 season and a loss in playoffs would be kinda equal to a 5-12 with no playoff appearance season. been too long to just accept a winning season. Will enjoy the wins, but they would be just the appetizer until they put the steak on medium-rare ny strip steak on my plate
Now if you want to know my thoughts on this years team, putting aside all the promising years of 27 years past, probably better than many but I see alot of the same flaws and I don't expect them to get to the championship game let alone the superbowl. If they want to prove my opinion wrong, then all the better.

Winning a super bowl generally means you are dominating the LOS, at least on one side of the ball. Which means we need dominant DTs, not skinny pass rushers DTs.

As long as the team believes in themselves, that's all that matters. Fickle fans don't contribute to the success on the field.

Go Cowboys

If the Cowboys can put together a ‘clean’ effort - don’t turn the ball over, don’t make drive-killing penalties on offense, don’t make drive-extending penalties on defense, reasonably manage the clock, AND win the turnover battle… they are capable of knocking off ANY TEAM.

Will that happen? … 25+ years of trending history suggests not often enough to win a Superbowl. Heck, not enough to reach a conference championship game. But we’ll keep hoping. Right?
