There’s not much belief in this team

Unlike years past, it feels that fans and the media are just not hopping into the bandwagon with this team.

Dare I say it, I think we will go into an underdog for the first two playoffs game if we are so lucky

We struggled against a USFL caliber team last night, our QB cant go one dam game without throwing a pick, our OC runs the most basic playbook in the league, and our HC claims to be a master of analytics but fails to comprehend basic clock management.

So yeah, the fan base seems highly skeptical of a deep playoff run given these conditions that I just mentioned.

In a league in which the entire conference is pretty much lame, we have an excellent chance of being less lame.
There are no great teams in this league, only what parity has left us to view.
NFC is better than AFC. Top 4 teams in NFC...Philly, San Fran, Minnesota, Dallas. Better than top 4 in AFC.... Buffalo, Kansas City, Cincinnati and Baltimore

Until the Cowboys get the 27 year old monkey off their collective backs, it’s completely understandable why much of the fan base and media are not buying in. In fact, there’s not really a bandwagon to get on yet IMO.

I have hope in this team for sure. Do I have faith in this team? No. You can’t create believers until you’ve proven you’ve done something outside the norm. The norm for this team in the 21st century is to flirt with being good but folding when it matters most. They’ve done it over and over. Until they crack that glass wall, why should there be “belief”? I don’t fault anyone who believes or doesn’t believe. It’s all part of being a Cowboys fan.
Excellent points!!!

Here is the problem, the Cowboys have not won a road playoff game since 1992 at San Francisco.

So what are the odds they are now going to win 3 consecutive road playoff games this year?

Can it happen? Sure, but it is highly unlikely and the majority of the fan base realizes this.

Anyone that is a student of football knew that Niners were the better team. If your talking about betting lines, I have no idea. Too many dumb Cowboys fans out there and the vegas guys know that.

The line had us as favorites at home

You wouldn't know this based on how Eagles fans blab on social media. They say crapola like every Cowboy fan is bragging that we're a shoe-in, and no other team has any chance, and blah blah blah. It's so far from the reality what what Cowboy fans talk about, it's astounding. I think they just make BS up.
Yeah, Philly fans are like that. Bottom feeders.

Unless there's some dramatic changes this team is not built for playoff success at all with the way it is playing. It would be a bit surprising if they even win a game against the awful NFC South.

We have the most turnover prone QB in the league and statistically one of the worst defenses in the league over the last month or so. The D has been fortunate to get a lot of turnovers but can that continue? Not really a sustainable formula.

We just saw a QB who has only been in Tennessee eight days playing behind backups on the OL do a pretty good job against our starting defense. Our defense isn’t going to hold up against Tom Brady or anyone else in the playoffs. Everyone is jumping off the bandwagon before it crashes and burns. Nothing I saw last night against Tennessee points to the Cowboys advancing in the playoffs. I see far too much inconsistency with this team. Just telling it like it is.
That’s exactly my worry. It’s not Dak or the Offense. We have weapons and firepower. It’s the defense that concerns me. If they play like last night, we won’t make it out of the WC. I hope I’m wrong

For me personally, it’s a relief to have low expectations. That 49ers games was just so nihilistic. Akin to the loss against the Giants. I watch every game but it’s no longer a roller coaster emotionally. Those Dak interceptions don’t even bother me. Jsut wait Tulane see how he reponds. Only situation that really bothers me is the coaches and the Zeke situation. I jut flat out don’t believe in Zeke I’d it. Care what any fan or local media/content creator tries to convince the masses but Zeke ain’t a top 10 rb in this league. If Pollard doesn’t come back his normalself, this team is done for because Zeke can’t carry this run game. I already have us slightly worse next season when Pollard is gone and Zeke is the bellcow

One of the smartest posts and very true ..I just don't trust them,I Cheer them on every game but always expect us to do something stupid.
Thanks for the kind words!

I am somewhat concerned about Dak and the INT’s. We can’t afford to be putting the defense back on the field and giving them a short field in the playoffs. The game we brought to Tennessee last night isn’t going to cut it in the playoffs especially against Tom Brady.

Oz, I am asking respectfully
How long have you been a fan?
Curious.
Thanks, John
Too young to remember exactly when I became a fan. But, I remember sneaking out of bed to watch Dallas play Minnesota, when Tony dorsett had that 99 yard run.

I remember our loss to Washington back in the late 70's. We loss that game, but won that fight.

East Coast biased media is shaping the narrative.

I remain confident and believe in this team. We've seen the Cowboys overcome many games that would have led to losses. For example, we don't go 4-1 without Dak under Red.

They lost games they held leads in (Packers, Jags) but for the most part they handled business (12-4).

Yep. They have been in every game. They haven't been blown out this year. Both those give me hope we can win it all.

GO COWBOYS!!

Ok, thanks, so you have been a fan a long time.
At least long enough to see the great times and bad times.
So my question to you is how do you keep from having negative expectations based on years of prior failure?

so was the media on the bandwagon in 2014? 2016? 2019? last year? Fans and media same the same thing every year, the EXACT SAME THING.

We cant trust the Cowboys... weve been here before and every year it is the same old thing, they let you down in the playoffs. A total bunch of crap that only Dallas is talked about like this.

Bengals lost how many years in a row in the playoffs with Dalton? Did you hear that about the Bengals? Nope, because nobody gives s **** about the Bengals. Vikings? Nope

Face it, the Cowboys are held to an entirely different standard and talking crap about them gets you ratings, so when will some of you figure this stuff out?

It doesnt matter what anyone thinks or says once the playoff s start... but please, stop saying everyone has gotten on the Cowboys bandwagon in the past, you are delusional.

Every game is like a movie to me. If I like it I'm going to want to see it again. If I don't like it, oh well. Every year there will be a play or a game that just brings up smile to my face and brightens my spirits. So even if they don't win a Super Bowl they are still responsible for bringing me some joy that year.

Plus I've really learnt not to worry about things I can't change or control. My fandom doesn't affect the way they play. So I don't let the way they play then effect my life.

I can't control my thoughts. I can't control my emotions. But I can control what I say and do. So even though I'm pissed I would not allow myself to show it. And the funny thing is when I stop showing anger, I stopped becoming angry.

So enjoy the little moments they give you. And stop showing anger, so you can live a healthier life. No one needs to be having an aneurysm, a stroke, or a heart attack.. just because the Cowboys loss.

My personal definition of crazy is the people who struggle to control themselves. Are you going to control your blood pressure or are you going to let the Cowboys control that for you?
