If we covered Smith one on one with Newman like Roy was covered one on one, it would've gotten UGLY. You dont guard number 1's with one corner most of the game. You do that with number 2 recievers like Roy.

okay. your so right.

T-New can cover Steve Smith one on one. lol

Cmon bro. If you watch football the TO bashing would'nt really make any sense. He SMOKED threw Saints dbs on one play Sunday. When is the last time you ever saw that many dbs around Roy Williams? It's not hard to notice the difference between Trent and Romo.
oh ok now it's the qbs fault? what about the dropped 70 yard td last week after he criticized Trent about not throwing deep enough after the 1st game!? what about the drop this past Sunday? what about him not even looking for the ball this past Sunday? T.O. is not a top wr anymore.

He smoke the saints for 0 catches for 0 yards that is what TO did maybe if there was not all this TO butt kissing and complaing how crappy the Cowboys WR are you would not have people taking shots at TO. He is gone thank god let him blow up in Buffalo. TO is interested in TO he has no rings what so ever teams like him so much they ship his butt out because he can't seem to be a team player because for TO it is all about TO and that is not going to cut it

So that makes them number 1's? That means they are getting the job done? Your logic is that of a ******. Congrats

Personal attack?

I could care less the opinion of an Owens fan.

Dallas has a change in offensive philosiphy... Do you think TO would buy into what we are trying to do?

Jason Witten has, and will be this team's #1 receiver. I don't get why people can't accept this.

If he's not a top wr anymore why are teams guarding him with their best db and not Lee Evans? I'm just going off of common sense and reasonable logic. Y'all are talking with hate. It's pretty obvious.

why is he still dropping passes every game? maybe that's 1 reason why Edwards doesn't throw to him that much. nothing is ever his fault. like he said it was the media's fault for getting released by Philly and Dallas:laugh2:

Because #1 WR's are deep threats as well. I love J-Witt but he isn't going to get many YAC. He's the most reliable player on offense and is the security blanket for Romo, but to call him a #1 WR is silly.

Because you do not understand football.

Based on the fact that I think TO is light years better than what we have at reciever? I guess every analyst/football person in the world doesn't understand either.

Maybe you should say we need another receiver that makes big plays because we just can not run this type of offense with Owens on the team.

IMO the big plays will come when Romo starts looking at his WR's.

Williams is open.

I think the Carolina game plan was similar to the Giants.Make the offense run the ball and allow short throws underneath, wait till the offense gets impatient and force turnovers. They did not have a turnover last night unlike the 4 against the Giants(3 offensive,1 special teams). With the amount of yards being generated in the running game the past 2 games I suspect defenses will start to play us slightly different.Hopefully respect for the running game will open up some things downfield, turnover free ofcoarse. In the upcoming game if they stack the line against the run and no downfield threat is present,i'll be somewhat worried. If that worry turns into a trend then i'll be convinced this team needs a speedy/quick wide out in the T.Glenn mold.

TO was the only reason why our offense was good in previous year. He commanded the safety over the top and free'd up Witten.

Romo still goes to Witten and not to his WR's because he doesnt want to make the bad throw. He threw it up to TO because it was low-risk / high reward. If it was a TD, go Cowboys. If it was a pick, blame would be diverted because he was "trying to force the ball to TO to make him happy".

Am I the only one who saw that?

I was always on this board saying I wanted an Anquan Boldin or a Steve Smith on this team instead of Roy. If we were going to get rid of TO atleast get somebody who is a baller. It's more about my hate for Roy than my love for TO. It's all good though.

Last week the safeties for the Giants sat back and Romo forced the ball got picked and ragged on all week. This week the Panthers did that and Romo took what the defense gave them and we moved the ball very well on the night. Penalties and some blown blocking pickups hurt some drives but the cowboys offense was still showing the ability to move the ball will little problem
