...bring back Gilly for cheap. Dont think many teams would be after him, considering his age.

I thought the cowboys would bring him back but where does he play? After bringing Lewis back the cowboys seem to have their starting trio of CBs.

Why are people caught up on this?

We haven’t signed a player for more than one year, $1.3 million. Why would they all of a sudden dish out $10 million for Gilmore
Plus, w/ Diggs coming back and the rook Carson, we don't have room for him.

He got hurt at the end of the season and forced us to play zone which is partly why GB torched us in the playoffs. Me thinks the FO was overly dissapointed in his play when it counted. Another expensive veteran that dissapeared in crunch time. After moving on from others like him, mainly Tyron, Gallup, Kearse etc, it kinda follows a pattern for 2024.

It seemed like the Cowboys. made their veteran cornerback decision earlier in the offseason when they brought back Jourdan Lewis. This isn’t to say that both Gilmore and J-Lew couldn’t have returned to the team in 2024, but matters felt rather settled. Add in that Dallas spent a fifth-round draft pick last week on Caelen Carson out of Wake Forest and suddenly the cornerback room is rather crowded. A return for Gilmore felt unlikely, but this whole number thing made people wonder as mentioned.
