There is zero hope of any change for 5-6 years minimum

I agree with " relax" but it ends there.

There is zero evidence to say that "next season will be better"

That's just wishful thinking but the reality is that the Owner will just continue with his way of doing things.

The days of the NFC bring an easy conference is over and those 12 win seasons were fools gold.

We have to see evidence of concrete change before making proclamations of improvement
In the 2021 did you think we would be be a 12 win team? Michah changed everything. This draft has game changing players. I know nobody thought we would win 13 games in 2016 without Romo. One player, injury luck and a new coaching staff could change everything.

Nothing has gone right in the last 30, what on earth makes you think just like that our fortunes can turn? The body of evidence suggests otherwise, and we just traded a 4th round pick that will be equivalent to a 2nd 3rd rounder for a WR who nobody was fighting for
We have had successful winning seasons in the 30 years since the triplets ruled football. I do question whether the Joneses understand that they undermine the team when it comes to get over the top by getting cheap when it come to free agents.

I agree. If we handle it right we can drastically improve this team in one off season and chsnge many jet parts in two drafts. Can Jerry do it is a question but can it be done is not
If we get a top 3 pick pick PT Barnum and son will dominate draft season

Yeah, I have no faith in Jerry and have real concerns for Dak with injuries but I know if the Cowboys get a stud receiver, running back, game wrecking defensive tackle or pass rusher, the Cowboys will be back in business. This draft has like 5-7 of those guys that fit the bill. You might get lucky if you draft the running back or defensive tackle in the second round.

Yeah the hope is we get an actual coach who can command the team, as well as we utilize FA after Jerry sees what a disaster he made of this season. It's a long shot, but it's still something to hope for. Then if we hit on a couple draft picks were back in it.

Jerry likes your optimism.

Do you remember the veteran all pro offensive line we had ready to go in 2021?

Do you remember zeke and Pollard 1800 combined rushing yards in 2021

Do you remember having Ceedee, Amari Cooper and Schultz each having over 70 receptions each in 2021.

Son, this roster ain't gonna have anything like those guys here in 2025.....and Jerry isn't going to produce one

I was going to say until after the funeral but the 5-6 years might be pretty close

Sadly, the Jones measure success by how many winning seasons the team has had and on nothing else.

A lot of "just happy to be there" fans in this thread.

And, like every offseason, he'll fool em all over again.

Jerry loves you.

So start the counter debate about what can (reasonably) happen to elevate the despair. With everything in place: Jerry, Dak's contract/health concern, CAP situation (especially with Micah at $40M and our LG being paid like a LT) and Defense (especially without Micah, who's costing $40M per)......are we hoping that we find a HC that can get the best out of Dak and his diminishing mobility and a Defense that be overhauled to stop the run.

I've given some of my plans that I think could mitigate Dak's contract and could lead to a bright future.

I'm as negative as the next guy, but you got a be a real cry baby to lock in on doom and gloom for 6 years. Lol, our fanbase is so weak.
No doubt. I live in Cleveland. People here aren't this miserable about the Browns.

They can cut Dak in March 2026 and escape the contract.

Things will turn around quick with the right HC and OC.
Exactly, and, if they play the draft right, they can get a QB either 2025 or 2026 who can sit a year (cuz we can get more cap space for less cap hit in 2027) and learn from Dak before they take over. In the meantime, they should be using the draft to prepare the team for the next QB. In essence, we basically have a $60 mil bridge QB if we play it smartly.

No change at Head Coach....no change in Free Agency philosophy....not even a change at GM.....none of these things can reverse the dye that was cast on the morning of September 8th when Booger sealed our fate by making his SINGLE WORST ACTION as owner and GM!!!!!! I feel sad for those who think a change at Head Coach, or any other thing I failed to reference will result in any short term turnaround. Even if ALL THREE of the things I did reference above happened, WE AIN'T SNIFFING A SUPER BOWL WITH DAK!!!! And the sad and PATHETIC thing about it, is Booger already 100% knows that it was a mistake....somehow, some idiot or idiots convinced him that he would curry favor by doing what he did when he did it...he 100% did not read the correct room prior....I do not know ONE PERSON who thought it was the right decision. Anyway....since September 8th, my viewing habits have changed drastically....prior to that date, I'd missed watching only one game since 1988, and that was in 1994 when I was in Cabo and our hotel could not pull in a nationally televised game. The Cowboys are dead to me. I love this site, but now visit sparingly....a few of you applaud this fact, which I can live with. I've been a die hard fan since 1975, and you can tell me all you want that a die hard fan doesn't throw in the towel and quit. But I didn't betray ANYONE.....Booger betrayed me and the other tens of millions like me. Go Dodgers....Go Mavericks....Go Stars....Go Sun Devils!!! There are other alternatives to the S show that is the Dallas Cowboys for going on THREE DECADES!!!
No doubt we are in for nuclear winters that will last for 5 years.
But with Yoda in control, there is no reason to believe he can right the ship even in 5 years.
The only thing that can send distress signals to Yoda would be half-full stadiums.

Is Jerry planning on selling in 5-6 years? Because Stephen seems like a bigger clown

 Always the optimist......We'd be lucky if it doesn't last another 30 years. I think Stephen will be worse than Jerry has been. Then you'd have Jerry Jr. And who the heck knows what he'd be like:facepalm: We are so screwed..........
