i remember...2 or 3 drafts ago...some of us wanted georgia ot/og isaiah wynn.
and we were told...HOW MANY 1ST RD OLINEMEN DO WE NEED???
NO OTHER TEAM HAS 4 FIRST ROUNDERS AND THEY MANAGE...
BLAH.
BLAH.
BLAH.
now.....its.....we should have addressed this years ago.
every draft some of us mention olinemen within the first 2 or 3 rounds.
and many draft gurus round here talk about how dumb it is.
many of the same ones talking oline...now.
this place,man.
Isn’t Wynn injury prone and available right now? They can trade for him now the Pats don’t want him……

True, but Travis Frederick was great. Unless I'm mistaken so did Zack Martin, and Zack Martin was great. I like Tyler Smith, but he's not a Zack Martin.

Don't think he has to be, if he's average we'll be fine.

yes.
i loved him at georgia.
played both ot and og.
if the price is right...i'd trade for him.
but jerry's comment yesterday about looking within nixes that.
but if they were to make a move...wynn is who'd i want.

Now we’re comparing smith to Frederick. Wow

Lol...nobody here wanted Frederick or thought he was a reach ,there lies the comparison, he became great. but I didnt expect you to get it, you're too busy in your feelings whining and complain.

And you’re too busy praising a front office who hasn’t done a thing in 27 years lol. Have fun with that

If I’m not mistaken they moved off of Collins because they felt Steele could replace him.
partially. they also moved off of him because they didn't love him in that lockerroom.
he ducked those tests and lied to them about it.
but they had plenty of chances to spend fa cash on a replacement and were fine going light and relying on draftees.

BS. I wanted Frederick and was ecstatic when we drafted him.

I think if his level of play was what they expected they wouldn’t mind him lying or doing what he’s doing. The gap between him and Steele wasn’t as far as they thought….not only that but Collins isn’t reliable….probably did him in.

This weird narrative that’s going around media and fans is the Cowboys should’ve addressed tackle before now. First off the narrative is a lie. They have addressed tackle in the middle of the draft. Now if the argument is they should’ve addressed it in the first round? The only time it made sense was Slater over Parsons and that would’ve set this team back years.

So when was this suppose to happen? When we drafted Lamb? Diggs? When?
If a stud was available and fell to the Cowboys in the draft they should have taken him and moved Smith to a less stressed position on the O-Line. Smith's body just isn't what it used to be and moving him could have saved his career with the Boys. JJ needs to do an injury settlement and move on from Smith.......

I’m fine keeping him. We got Tyler now. The future is here now to where we aren’t reliant on Tyron.

Everybody pull out their “Time to get serious Backup for OT” threads or “W-L Record With and Without Tyron” threads regurgitated from the last 2 years. It will probably be half the board. Too little, too late on Tyler. They went for a gamble pick too, high upside, but high risk. Has potential to be a season wrecker. Hopefully it all works out.

Fans are fickle, but this is one of those obvious ones everyone but ‘Jerry and the Myopic’ didn’t see coming from a mile away. You don’t mess around with your QB’s blindside protection.
