Something is amiss here.
This 2023 pre-draft period has seen the NFL pundits /draft gurus /talent rankings-ratings groups ----touted this year's tight end eligibles as a "deep = quality class ".
Yet - the league "did not invite" the top prospects at that position?
Mayer, Kincaid, Washinvfon, Laporta, Musgrave, Kraft.

Or....is the top-rated players were offered an invite...but turned it down?
That part I'm not sure. I honestly think this list is guys who they think will be 1st rounders....I think they think those tight ends are fringe guys who could fall to the 2nd but could also be 1st rounders. Very odd draft lol.

The reason the NFL only invited these players is to minimize the awkwardness of having a player (thought to be drafted in the 1st) sit and wait and not be drafted in the 1st. It's an image thing for them, per usual.
Yeah I know......its why its only 17. Which is crazy....

My guess is no their guy is not there.

Flowers is the most likely to possibly be available that they have interest in.
Honestly...I kinda hope their guy is not there lol. I'm not overly excited about many of those guys who could be around when we pick thats up there. Now of course there are some great names but I think most of those guys are top 15.

Mayer and Kincaid have been mocked a number of times as the 26th pick to Dallas.
Sincerely doubt the Cowboys are the only team that holds these to players in high regard as 1st rounder.

I don't know what I would do in this situation. Being at the draft is cool, but I think a huge party with family and friends would be the route I'd rather go.
Especially if you are a tweener with that camera on you all night if you did not get picked - that would suck!!

Ecstatic if Robinson drops to us.

Pipe dream, full crazy pass out happy if somehow Jalen Carter were to drop that far.

I don't think that's the case. I just think this draft is wacky. Can I see these guys going in the 1st? Of course. I can't sit here and say for sure though they are locks. No one in the 20's is just overly in need of a tight end.

Keep hearing Philthy gonna trade up from 10 to 6 with the Lions so they can take Carter. That would suck.

Wow, that is low.
Not sure how many are usually invited. but this does not seem good.

Gibbs not there but Robinson is.
Ohio State has 3 players. Bama also.
I've head Dallas only has about that many (17-19) 1st round grades.
Wonder what the overlap is?

I wonder if Jalen Carter takes a big fall. Legal issues now and some teams not sure about his motor. Talented player though but could fall.
