McCoy is an average QB but will be entering the game with a hot hand having completed 11 of 12 passes last week vs Tenn for 128 yards and a TD. It's not like Washington is going to put the game on his shoulders they do have Alfred Morris who's put up 482 rushing yards and 4 TD's vs the Cowboys in his 4 games against them. The Cowboys have never held Morris to less than 81 yards. I'm not saying the Cowboys aren't going to win this game but as high as they're riding right now they can't allow themselves to be lulled asleep because Washington is struggling at 2-5. I'll never forget after the Cowboys beat the Giants in their opener in 2011 up in NY everyone was handing them the Seattle game in week 2. One FAN on this board was laughing that the Cowboys would pulverize Seattle and their a rookie QB.
I wish that thread could be dug up because not one FAN on this board was picking the Cowboys to lose that game but I warned against over confidence. The Cowboys should win on Monday Night but I never take any game for granted and I hope they don't take this game for granted. A great season can be derailed by losing at home to a struggling team. In 2011 the Cowboys were 7-4 riding a 4 game winning streak into AZ.
The Cards had won only 4 games but walked away with a win the Cowboys needed. The Cowboys ended up finishing that season 1-4 and missing the playoffs. I know this is a different year and a different team but there's still 9 games to go and the Cowboys can't afford to slip up against a 2 win team that's going nowhere. A loss here could get the ball rolling the other way for the Cowboys so they have to be ready to play to maintain the momentum they have.
