They were close to a nice offseason

We can't get mad at them, they obviously want to do what they want to do with the players they have, so they made their beds, they have to lay in it. Because we failed to get a play maker, and if those guys we have no don't do good things for us this season, you'll possibly see us use a 1st or something to trade during the season, when we could have taken care of the need during the draft
At first, I thought, this is a pretty decent post, and then i saw who posted it.....then I thought, I wonder where he stole it from....

I would mostly agree. The Cowboys made some nice moves this offseason, and I dont hate the draft. What I do hate is once again they refused to do enough and still have massive holes with the run defense, questions at both tackle spots, CB, and WR....in addition to having some nice pieces but not a complete player at the RB position. We once again are putting a lot of stock into reclamation projects and late round picks to plug obvious holes that could have been addressed a month ago.
I think they believe all their cheap trades and signing former No. 1s is going to make a difference. Nevermind that the reason those former No. 1s were available was because they failed with the teams that drafted them. Doesn't mean they aren't fancier garbage than the usual players we pick up from the landfill and can't maybe contribute a little more than the bottom feeders do.

I don't get your obsession with Coog.. its not like he comes into every thread and has a crack at you.. perhaps it was just a "pretty decent post".

So he posts a lot.. big deal.. he doesn't abuse anyone.

Compared to last year, it is a very nice off-season.

True, it seems nothing they have done moves the needle. And I can see why many fans think that way.
However, I can see why some think it did.

When you step back, take off the blinders, rather if you are pro or con on the team, and the FO. It really has been a decent off-season. And much to be excited about.
I mean, what else could have they done to make the naysayers, say any different. Sign some high price FA's, only to say they over paid.

Bring in HC X instead of Brian, only to say, should have got HC Y, while others say HC Z.

We got some young coaches, all with different ideas to improve the team. BS seems to be building a team with high character, which translates into team continuity. Changing the culture.

Fans will always dislike what the FO does, because it is not what they want them to do. Many fans do not take into account the entire team structure of the roster and salary cap, as we do not know the inner workings.

Do I wish thy done a few things different, yes. But I am not going to let it ruin my morning coffee.
Yeah, for one we're back to having a rotation of legit pass rushers. Like we had during our 12-5 season's. That alone counts for something. Add to that, we upgraded our RB room as well as OL, I think we've done OK thus far.

I want to see them add some more vets in FA.

Long ways to go before it's over anyway. So far, I like it.
