Bill Parcells:

*"The stare" that means nothing anymore
*The cliches, that mean nothing anymore - "You are what you are" (Unless it applies to my coaching, then there are extenuating circumstances)
*The drama - Only Brett Favre has kept us in suspense so many times
*The gameplan - And I don't just mean for a particular game, I mean for the football team. If Parcells is back then we are having this exact same scenario this time next year. Something else will have gone wrong. There will be some OTHER reason why we are around the .500 mark and have exited the playoffs in the 1st round, if we even get there.

Jerry Jones:

I only have one beef with Jerry. I still love the fact that we have the one owner in the NFL who really desires to win to the point that he will spend money, big money to do it. But I wish Jerry would get a long term focus for this team. If you bring Parcells back, then you have a ONE YEAR plan. That is no plan at all, in my opinion.

So, to sum up. I'm tired of Bill Parcells and I'm tired of Jerry allowing a guy who has more affinity for his Giants roots than for the Dallas Cowboys to be at the helm of our football team.

May not be worth much, but at least I feel some better now :)

I don't see how having a current contract, denying all interest in other teams, having said teams deny interest or inquiry from him, equals keeping us in suspense. He's coming back, and Miles Austin is gonna be the greatest, just like Tony!

That's real.

Things I'm tired of;

1. Whining.
2. Whining about playcalling, and scheme, when the simple truth is the players didn't execute.
3. Whining about Roy, and making him a LB.
4. Whining about Rowdy.
5. Whining about what other teams are doing in the offseason.

How about him saying that he hasn't made his mind up yet, and that there is a decision to be made there, and that the owner says he "wants him back". Does all of that sound settled to you SP?

Now, it may turn out just as you say, and I'm not denying that. That isn't what I'm "tired of". I'm tired of it being an issue year after year.

Plus, lets be honest, at 65 years of age, whether it is this year, or next, this guy isn't going to continue coaching the Dallas Cowboys, and HE HASN'T BEEN THAT GOOD HERE ANYWAY. Chan Gailey numbers.

So lets move into our future, please.

If whining is wanting to get rid of Bill Parcells, then I'm afraid you and I might just have to be tired, one way or the other. If he stays, we will both be tired. Me, because he is here. You, because I feel the freedom to voice that I wish he wasn't here.

The only solution to at least MY contribution to your tiredness, (because I don't get into #'s 3-5 on your list) is for Parcells to leave.

Then I won't be tired anymore, and you won't hear me on that subject anymore. :) ;)

He's still got more to do. He came here and super bowl was preached. He's not off the hook yet. The team's on the right track, and made nice strides on one side of the ball this season, and we've just been rid of one of the final pieces from the old regime. (Who apparently, according to some club, is responsible for all evils) I think the same strides can be made on defense next year. So, one more year. And then, he'll make another decision, and everyone will whine about how long it's taking. And either he'll be back, or hopefully someone who won't change the direction will be here.

Wanta bet? Apparently you only pay attention to what you want to. I said, (I'll repeat for you), the guy is 65 years old, he is going to leave soon whether this year or next. Time to move onto the future my friend. Better now than next year in my view.

And one other thought. It's only whining to those who disagree. The thought of Parcells moving on is music to the ears of those of us who actually think it is the best thing for our beloved Cowboys. All in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

If you want to talk about WHINING, how about, in no particular order:

K-Balls
Referee spots
T.O's drops
Troy Aikman's anti-Cowboys bias
Darth "Zimmer" Vader - You know, the single solution to all our defensive problems

Those things have seemed pretty whiney to me lately.

the k-balls are complete crap it was talked about before the season even started, so thats not whining its truth. the restof that stuff is getting tired though. Actually the balls this year were complete garbage, k-balls or not, and the NFL used em anyways just so the new commish's namec could be on there.

you honestly want to start over with a new coaching staff?
Thinks like what happened in NO don't happen often. We would be looking a some struggles. Its better to stick with what we have, the players like bill and more than a couple have voiced they want him to stay. Terance Newman even said something like he prays bill stays. That kinda statement means a whole lot more to me.

TO also seems to respect Bill alot more than he would some young pup getting his start in the league.

I am with you. People can call it whinning, moaning or whatever they want to call it, but at the end of the day Dallas is still not a contender.

Yeah, I have heard the virtues of the weak NFC. Are we trying to be the next Buffalo Bills of the 90s.

Our measuring stick should not be a bunch of scrubs, I am amazed that some fans are ok with that.

I have heard about improvement. In reality I see stagnation or worse. The only progress we made was on the offensive side of the ball. That was almost pure luck at its best.

Lets face it BP did not see Romo as good enough to take the job from Bledsoe. I think...I know the only reason he moved Romo to the starter's role is because he had nothing to lose at that point. Not exactly BP and his brilliance at its finest. It was a desperation move that worked. I will give him half credit on that. Would have been full credit had he known what Romo was and started him at the beginning of the year.

The other key component was Terrell Owens, whom it is widely reported that BP did not want but was convinced by JJ. Not sure what the truth is, but if I were a betting man I would put good money that BP did not want to run his boy Keyshawn out of town for TO.

The offensive line remains a joke and the only saving grace the OL had this year is that Romo made them look better than they really were.

The running game was nothing to write home about either.

Ahh...now the defense. What ever progress we made on offense the defense more than made up for with their ineptitude. To think that the defense is where the majority of the rebuilding had been focused on.

Last year we were not that healthy and went 9-7. This year we were relatively healthy and went 9-7. What would our record look like if we had played in the AFC the last two years?

It is time to judge Parcells according to the really good teams and not a bunch of scrubs from the NFC or give him a pass because he is better than Campo.

I don't disagree with you on the footballs, I only refer to the idea that the ONE SINGLE FOOTBALL that Romo dropped was somehow sabotaged.

Those slick balls have been an issue all year long, and he has held them all year long, it was a simple drop, that's all.

Should we crucify him over it? Of course not. The guy didn't WANT to do it, didn't mean to do it, and felt terrible about it.

The balls that he dropped while running around and being tackled the last 4-5 weeks of the season were not K-Balls.

That is my only point about the footballs. We don't have to come up with a conspiracy theory to absolve Romo of the dropped snap. We simply need to admit that he dropped the snap, end of issue.

He will hopefully be better for it next year.

I think you are spot on. And something else that we better not overlook is how HEALTHY we were this year.

Yes, we lost Greg Ellis, but what is going to happen next year if a couple of really key offensive players go down?

Do we really want to keep settling for, "We have a chance IN THIS CONFERENCE?"

Man, we need to set higher standards than that.

The idea of Parcells coming here stoked me up so much...I was ecstatic that first year, disappointed in year two, but jacked up again after last year. This year has moved me out of the BP camp. I really think that the guy has lost it. I'm not going to try to convince those of you who think he should stay otherwise, but I would like for someone to convince me that he is still a SuperBowl coach, sans Sweatshirt Bill B. I think that if Tunas' here next year, we'll take a another baby step forward, but I don't see him taking us to an NFC Championship, much less a SuperBowl. I just don't think he's got the energy any longer to get us over the hump.

JMO...that and $1.89 will get you a grande coffee o' the day at Starbucks.

Well, I am officially tired of NEGATIVITY!

That was such a positive statement by you! ;) ;)

Seriously, though, I hear what you are saying, I really do. And at most times, I'm with you. I really do look forward to positive times, but I think the Parcells route isn't the way to get there.

Want to talk about positive? How about getting to our Cowboys roots again? How about bringing in someone who will "wake up the echos"?

How about a guy who bleeds Cowboys blue and silver?

That would be a BIG positive in my mind.
