I have heard about improvement. In reality I see stagnation or worse. The only progress we made was on the offensive side of the ball. That was almost pure luck at its best.

Lets face it BP did not see Romo as good enough to take the job from Bledsoe. I think...I know the only reason he moved Romo to the starter's role is because he had nothing to lose at that point. Not exactly BP and his brilliance at its finest. It was a desperation move that worked. I will give him half credit on that. Would have been full credit had he known what Romo was and started him at the beginning of the year.

Wow. The stagnation is his fault, but the offensive improvement was just him lucking into grooming a starter for four years, saying LAST year, in Seattle, that "he had another one down there that you all don't know about". Bledsoe was dynamite in the preseason. He had done nothing to lose his job. A suggestion that Bill just stumbled into Romo and an exciting offense is absolutely ridiculous, and baseless.

Which is why he played him almost all of pre-season.

Good call.

Things I'm tired of;

1. Whining.
2. Whining about playcalling, and scheme, when the simple truth is the players didn't execute.
3. Whining about Roy, and making him a LB.
4. Whining about Rowdy.
5. Whining about what other teams are doing in the offseason.

Well are't you whinning about the whinners?.......a whinner is a whinner. :lmao2:

We all know if anyone has the opposite opinion from you ... they are labled.

Want to talk about positive? How about getting to our Cowboys roots again? How about bringing in someone who will "wake up the echos"?

How about a guy who bleeds Cowboys blue and silver?

Campo?

This is a thread about things we are tired of. Or at least things rcaldw is tired of. So, I guess joining in makes me a whiner. Oh well.

As for the last part....whatever. Be bitter if you want.

I said, (I'll repeat for you), the guy is 65 years old, he is going to leave soon whether this year or next. Time to move onto the future my friend. Better now than next year in my view.

There is something to be said for that. Especially if one doesnt think it would be particularly advantageous for him to be the coach next year anyway. Which I dont.. Not that I'm going to rant and rave about it no matter which way it turns out.

When it comes to older players isnt there an adage.. better to let them go a year too early than a year too late?

That might well pertain here.

I don't see how having a current contract, denying all interest in other teams, having said teams deny interest or inquiry from him, equals keeping us in suspense. He's coming back, and Miles Austin is gonna be the greatest, just like Tony!

That's real.

and how long does parcells want to be around?

year by year we just never know. you don't go "long haul" with short term leadership.

If you bring Parcells back, then you have a ONE YEAR plan. That is no plan at all, in my opinion.
:)

:hammer:

Also, one thing I just do not get.

Here is a post with legitimate comments, concerns.
Then a responder "responds" with waaa waaa waaa.

Is that ridicule? Is that allowed? Are some here immune from the rules?

Why?

I don't know. And I can see that line of thinking, just get it over with now. But Parcells could just as easily coach 5 more years as quit tomorrow. When the team makes progress, and starts fulfilling his vision, it doesn't look as if he'll ever give it up. Cross that bridge when we get there. I don't see any reason to shove him out the door.

That is a good point. Also, I've heard from someone, THAT I KNOW KNOWS FOOTBALL, that there is a 3 year rule in there somewhere. ;) ;)

So cut it out. Don't like the post? Don't read it. Don't respond.
I am tired of those so consumed with negativity that they spill their venom when legitimate comments are aired or when a post does not fit their view of the world.
So quite whining about whiners.

I think you're partly right. Many have stated he is under contract so he should finish out. Good, great grand. Then just finish it out and quit peein and moanin about needing to recharge and see where you're at. I think this is a lot of peoples issue w/Parcells. He acts like he has a yearly contract at the end of every year. To me this is the let down w/him, that and his seemed passiveness to our approach on D and O. Where I disagree is the Jerry part. I do believe he has a long term plan in place. It just may not be able to come to fruition this year like many would love to see. Guarantee you he's not going into that new stadium w/the status quo. It will be grand.

Book It. I hope you're not tired of that one.

As I said, you labled him a whiner......Therefore you must be one also. ;)

It works both ways sp.

I don't know why it's so important for you guys to know what BP is gonna do

it's not like he's gonna be able to do much when he says yes today, or even next week

Noted.

Oh, and I'm also tired of you whining about how this forum is run. "Are some people immune from the rules?" How about that?

Wah.

I'm fine with rcaldw. He has his feelings about Parcells, that I'm familiar with, and he wasn't whining in his initial post. (the only thing I view as remotely whining is the stuff about Parcells not making a decision, and I have been guilty of that in the past as well) I was simply chiming on the "Things I'm Tired of" angle. Everyone's entitled to their feelings and opinions so long as they present them well. But if you make a thread, be prepared to get some unfavorable responses.

Cmon, below the belt shot. :) You know that NONE of us probably thought that Campo was ever the solution. (Can you say puppet?)

How about Danny White? Everywhere White has been a coach he has done well, to my limited knowledge. He is a Dallas Cowboy.

How about Charlie Waters on the coaching staff?

I know that people want a proven coach, and I understand that, but isn't it good to be a forward thinker sometimes?

I mean all these names we are so in love with, many of them weren't even on our radar screen until the last 5 years. SOMEONE took the chance with them, and THEN they became "old pros".

I might be in the minority, but I want a Dallas Cowboys guy, someone who really appreciates our history, someone who WANTS to be here, and NOT JUST FOR MONEY.

Maybe I'm a dreamer, but that is a "positive" thought to me. :)

Good observations Ttown, you may well be right on. And no, not a tired thought at all :)

I never take issue with someone disagreeing with me. I just think if we are going to post in a thread, at least engage the argument. SP did that.

Now, "waa, waa, waa" doesn't do that. :)

Like I said I still give him credit for finding Romo, but it was not act of brilliance that put him in the starters position is all I am saying. It was not some sort of BP masterplan. Again, I give full credit to BP for holding onto Romo and developing him for as long as he did, I just do not think that it was masterful that he brought him in when he did. If you think so that is your right, I do not.

As far as TO goes you tell me if that was JJ or BP? I am not saying that my opinion is right, but it is the opinion that most believe to be right.

I did not say he totally stumbled onto an offense either. I am just alluding to the two biggest contributors this year. There is always Terry Glenn, Jason Witten, JJ, MBIII, Crayton and a few others.

Regardless, luck does play a part of it. Jimmy hoodwinked the Vikings. As some have said it is better to be lucky than good sometimes.

We can beat around the bush all we want, but BP still has not done a good job since he came on board. We are better now than with Campo. If he were to quit today that will be his claim to fame as a Cowboys coach.

You can think if Parcells can just have one more year then he will finally live up to expectations. You may be right, but you could very well be dead wrong just as I could.
