Dak was bad and has gotten worse and I have defended him and we need to move on yes but you guys act like QB's grow on trees. It might take 15 years to find someone as good as Dak.
And how “good” is someone like Dak?

Hes not that good himself

Everything got exposed last night. We're small on the defensive line. Our offense was made to look outdated. Or QB sucks, and I've been a Dak supporter. We were outcoached on both sides of the ball. We didn't look explosive anywhere compared to San Fran.

The only scapegoat was McCarthy. He knew it was himself, too. It was the first thing out of his mouth. That makes two games. I'm pretty sure Dak misses Kellen Moore.
Dak could not run that offense either. I am not a Dak hater, but the writing has been on the wall for a some time now. Rush 4 and drop 7 into zone coverage and you will win every time. He can't process coverages fast enough. He has no vision. He is good against average teams, but subpar against playoff caliber teams.

Absolutely. There are a plethora of threads about that, it'd be nice to have a convo about other issues. Our D got torn a new one last night, what are you seeing as the problem there?
a freaking 3 man rush on 3rd and forever

Well there are probably 12- 14 teams give or take that would take him. He is just good enough to get to the playoffs maybe win the wild card game and then lose. There are plenty of teams that would take that. And mind you I am not advocating keeping him just presenting facts.

1. Pollard. I still like him, but he absolutely is not an up the middle RB. Desperately need a pounder to side him. Going into the season w/ him as the starter and two more little dudes as backups never made sense.
2. DT-3 tech. Hankins was beastly last night, but the play of the guy beside him was just poor. I like Osa and Golston, I do, but they need to be the rotational guys. We need that guy, the one who consistently pushes the pocket and disrupts the QB. That is one of the reasons Micah was ineffective last night, not enough push up the middle. Mazi was a start, but we need to start building up the DLine w/ topnotch disruptors. Average is not getting it done.
3. WR. I like Lamb, but he's more of a 1B type WR. Need that monster there.
4. LB. Need better ones.
5. TE. I like Fergie, but we miss that getting open ability that Schultzie brought. I know, I know, y'all hate Schultzie, but we are missing the one thing that he does at a very high level: Getting open. It continually amazes me how that is so underrated by so many fans. He killed it for Houston yesterday, BTW.
6. S. We do have decent ones now, but we're still missing that CF ballhawk type FS.

Anything I missed?
Well said. From a big picture standpoint, this team needs to get more physical. They were manhandled on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. This D (and apparently the FO) have become so enamored with the pass rush that don’t seem to care that their front 7 gets pushed around like they're on skates when they have to to stop the run.

This team is soft. Period. Mentally and Physically. When a good team gets punched in the mouth they counter-punch. This team had no counter last night. They were abused and just took it. Until that changes, this team will beat bad teams and lose to the better ones.

If the front 4 can put pressure on any team then it’s a hard game to win. Especially when your defense can’t stop the run. We needed to dump the ball off. I watch the niners game and it was like the playoff game we lost. The play Pollard was injured on in playoffs is the key for an offense to slow them down. They bring 4 and drop 7. Let the 4 come and drop it over the head right over the line.

Yep a lot of the other issues become non-issues if you fix that one
I dont think so, again move from Dak thats fine but you dont have the dogs you thought you had at the other positions, they all bowed out in minutes of that game starting... thats not good, the coaches including DQ got fleeced also.. Dak is a problem but he has plenty of company throughout this lineup thats not solved with "Well if the QB was better i could actually get off the LOS to run my route"..

Coaching for Dallas was sub-par on both sides of the ball. MM refuses to use motion to create mis-matches offensively; the one time they did it gave Turpin a free release and a subsequent TD. Shanahan was using motion to do what MM was unable to do. Dallas run defense was porous and the 49ers RBs were rag-dolling Dallas defenders; WRs were running free through the Dallas zones.
SF appeared prepared and played fast; Dallas was flat and played slow; SF was more physical as well.

Thing that got exposed:

Ever since Jimmy Johnson hasn't been in charge of personel moves, the talent level amd player accountability has gone downhill.

Anyone that thinks you need a ‘pounder’ as starting RB lost credibility
