Think Carolina would trade for Trey Lance?

It doesn't look like Bryce Young is going to workout in Carolina. You think they would take a chance in trading for Lance, who is bigger and stronger, than Bryce if they cut ties with him. I see how fast Pittsburgh got rid of Pickett and are giving fields a shot. Also, I think that if Cleveland has a bad year, they will eat the money they gave Watson, and might be up for a trade. Just a couple of thought

why? everyone in the NFL knows Trey Lance is nothing special, except the few on this board who are holding out hope and spinning stories. why would Carolina trade for Lance who has no future as an elite or high end QB in this league in his 4th year and in the last year of his contract....why would they trade? so they pay high dollars next year? if Carolina does the trade, then they are much more stupid than I thought...

they are going the route of Fields and Chicago...let Bryce play the year, get another top 5 pick and try and draft the next QB.....they will trade Young for peanuts and a bag of chips.

If they trade for Lance than Carolina are fools. But if we can get a 2nd rounder for him I'd be ecstatic.

We have already figured out they are pretty stupid. At least Trey has the size to play in the NFL. Bryce Young was thought to be a more mobile Drew Brees. Does not appear thus far in the least. He looks likes a Smurf seeing ghosts.

PS. Never say never. It only takes one team to be interested in him and I'd say right now that team might be Carolina.

Jerry needs to swallow his pride, take the loss and shop Trey Lance around. Yes, someone like the Panthers, Packers and a few other teams could seriously consider trading for Lance. If the Cowboys could get a 3rd round pick for Lance, that would be great for both parties.

The Panthers are a mess and no QB would thrive or succeed in that organization. Bryce isn't the problem
... he ist the only, or the biggest problem.
But isnt the solution either

If they are stupid enough. lets do it. I just don't see anyone making any type of trade for a 3rd string QB, in the last year of his contract.

This preseason was Lance's chance to prove his potential, and he proved athleticism, but not any proficiency as a passes. And he came out of it as the 3rd string QB. Nobody is eager to get him.

Put him on a "normal" NFL team and his troubles can be fixed. From ownership on down, they are a disaster and I'm not sure what anybody would expect from a young kid. Glad you aren't the GM and ready to have him pack his bags

Are you serious? They traded the farm and ended up with a bust and you think they’re going to trade for another bust? The Panthers are so stupid they had both Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, who looked terrific on opening day. They moved on from both of them and chose Bryce Young over CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson. Not to mention they could have had Caleb Williams had they not made that trade for Bryce Young. What a stupid organization.

Man..,when Dak blows up another playoff game,, Lance will be here to save us.

just because Jerry threw money at Dak, doesn’t mean Dak is fixed.

What you wrote shows they might be stupid enough to kick the tires on Lance. I mean stupid is as stupid does as per the great Alabama running back Forrest Gump.

I would be ecstatic if we got a 1st rounder.

Or four 1st rounders.

Sure, nobody was willing to give up ANYTHING for him last year except us, and he's done absolutely nothing since to increase his value, but now that WE have him I could see a bidding war ensuing where we get a Hershel Walker type deal.

I looked at the calendar and its not April 1st. So no one is fooling anyone about Lance. He was a wasted pick just so we can stroke Jerry's little ego.

That 4th rounder could have been used for drafting a RB.

If you didn’t have Lance or Dak, would you give up a 3 for him?

This. Their solution for having drafted a good college QB who is proving he can't play in the NFL is to trade for a good college QB who has proven he can't play in the NFL?
