Think Pollard stays on as 2?

Unfortunately if I'm him I go to the highest dollar. This will be his one and only pay day. He's sacrificing his body long term and RBs just don't make crap tons. But there's several other better FA RBs this year so who knows?

I don’t think he stays anymore than Alvin Harper would have.

No position is more 2nd contract dependent than RB.

Pollard has a lot of light shining on him with more likely to come. And the RB role has increased in the NFL, his shot at the brass ring and he deserves that.

They would have to flip the order to keep Pollard and I do not see the GM doing that so it is back to the draft for a RB.
He and Zeke split carries, Zeke takes the pay cut and they split the RB money. Zeke has already gotten his.

I think I will not be concerned with this until late February or early March.

I am just focused on winning games.

But I have a feeling Zeke will restructure, take less $$$ and move some of that to Tony's contract to keep him.
Depending how successful in the playoffs also. Otherwise, wait until the time comes for me.

Me too.
There's time in the off season to think about off-season stuff.
We're still in the race.

Pretty much.

I’m not ready to pay TP big money.

Franchising Pollard for a year will cost *much* less than than Zeke's cap his this year.

While a RB is elite, pay him like it. The problem is that most RBs can't stay elite through the contracts they sign.

All I can say is hope they find a way to keep him…

But if they part ways because he’s asking for too much then so be it. Can’t blame either side. This is why the offensive line should always be top priority. Spending big dollars on a position like running back makes no sense.
