Think the OL will be motivated this week?

It should be. I know we didnt try to win the game last December, but the loss to end the season was one of the more embarrassing displays of football we've seen. The team managed ONE YARD RUSHING in the game. ONE, on SIXTEEN carries. We had a total of 147 yards in offense. Barber had NEGATIVE six yds rushing on 6carries, by far the worst game of his career. Think he might be geeked up a little this week? We had the ball for barely 22 minutes, scored but two field goals and were a dreadful 0-11 on 3rd down.

I smell an arse whooping. :skins:

I dont put any stock into anything that happened that day. I know the Commanders fans love to harp on the stats.

It was cold and pouring rain. Procter played center and columbo was nursing that bad knee he played on at the end of the year. Without owens they were stacking the box and making it tough to run.

Even at that, if a few balls are caught by open recievers that is a close game and the stats would be dramatically different.

No Commanders fan will bring it up, but we outrushed them in texas stadium last year. Portis was nonexistant. Actually we had more rushing yards in each of the last two games at texas stadium.

Barber had more yards than portis.

So I wouldnt compare anything to that game in december with this time.

The team may use it as a source of motivation, but I have a feeling they wont even use that game to prepare for this weeks game.

I think the OL will be extra motivated for a few reasons...

1. Divisional game

2. Commanders week

3. Tony got touched several times by GB defenders. the OL pride takes a hit whenever their QB gets touched.

4. Procter is back in the starting lineup and wants to prove it was a mistake to replace him in the GB game.

I see us owning the trenches on Sunday.

This is HUGE, the oline really doesn't like that. I'm sure Romo doesn't either.. Foreskins already have ZERO pass rush, Romo will have plenty of time..

I think Houck should make them watch that over and over and over. I think their wives and girlfriends should deny them sex unless they can redeem themselves.

Honestly I look for them to pound rock against the Commanders...

I think you're right. Everybody has been running on them, straight up the middle too.

Leonard Davis's wife and kevin burnett's wife were on the radio with pugs and kelly about a half hour before the postgame kicked in on 93.3 the bone last monday against the eagles.

They were pretty funny. They attend every game, just like the rest of the wifes and girlfriends! They said the girlfriends never sit with the wifes but they were encouraging them to come and sit with them behind the players bench.

The Commanders have five sacks so far. I think it's by five different players.

Their pass rush comes from blitzing. They get virtually no pressure when they rush four.

We can either expect blitzing nearly every down.....or we can expect them to go the "Buffalo Route"....play coverage and hope Romo screws up.

I have no worries with the OL. They are huge and very talented. They have protected Romo very well and produced running lanes and great blocks. I love our OL. There are one of the best in the league. So no I don't have any worries. I think they will shine.

I think the "Buffalo Route" will be used.

If I am gameplanning as Greg Blanche, I want you guys to take 12-15 plays to score, as opposed to your quick strikes that you got against GB

I have Laron Landry 25 yards deep, and his assignment is "don't let anyone behind you"

Rush 4, keep Romo in the pocket, double Witten and Owens and take my chances 1-1 with Rogers on your number 2 WR (whoever that may be)

Eventually Romo will make a mistake in the red zone. No clue why he does it, in particular with Witten and TO down there, but he tries to force that ball down inside the 20

I am willing to concede 21 points. But I want you to spend 30 minutes scoring those 21 points

I know its Commanders week and all but, this is one of the goofiest posts I have read here. Please continue informing us on what our plays can not do o wise one.

These Commanders fans get more obnoxious as the game gets closer. By friday they will be posting about how romo, owens witten and barber really should be playing in the cfl cause they are not really that good.

The OL really needs to step up especially this week. They cannot come in expecting the game is won like they did with the Giants. When it comes to boys skins everybodies ready to go. I live in DC and the defensive players already calling in local radio stations and do tv interviews about what theys gonna do, this is something that never happens. I know its a rivalry and you gotta hype it up, but the OL really is gonna be what deterimines the results of the game.

Honestly as much as the Ol will need to protect Romo our DB will definitely need to play exceptional, we have to much talent back there
