I know its Commanders week and all but, this is one of the goofiest posts I have read here. Please continue informing us on what our plays can not do o wise one.

These Commanders fans get more obnoxious as the game gets closer. By friday they will be posting about how romo, owens witten and barber really should be playing in the cfl cause they are not really that good.

Wow, that is the last time I talk football on here. I'll just spew the usual trolling BS from now on. Much more entertaining I suppose :)

Wanna actually refute any point I got? Or will you continue to be a *******?

I think the "Buffalo Route" will be used.

If I am gameplanning as Greg Blanche, I want you guys to take 12-15 plays to score, as opposed to your quick strikes that you got against GB

I have Laron Landry 25 yards deep, and his assignment is "don't let anyone behind you"

Rush 4, keep Romo in the pocket, double Witten and Owens and take my chances 1-1 with Rogers on your number 2 WR (whoever that may be)

Eventually Romo will make a mistake in the red zone. No clue why he does it, in particular with Witten and TO down there, but he tries to force that ball down inside the 20

I am willing to concede 21 points. But I want you to spend 30 minutes scoring those 21 points

So you think using the same game plan that the Packers used will result in a different outcome? Did you think that the "quick strikes that you got against GB" were because TO and Witten were not accounted for?

The "quick strikes" were from Felix Jones and Miles Austin, now the Packers game plan did require the Cowboys to use more running which Marion Barber was more than willing to supply. My suggestion is to go back to the drawing board with you plan because the Cowboys have just defeated that plan and will do a better job against it this time around.

Leonard Davis's wife and kevin burnett's wife were on the radio with pugs and kelly about a half hour before the postgame kicked in on 93.3 the bone last monday against the eagles.

They were pretty funny. They attend every game, just like the rest of the wifes and girlfriends! They said the girlfriends never sit with the wifes but they were encouraging them to come and sit with them behind the players bench.
Not a good idea if their boyfriend is married to one of the wives. :p

I think our secondary is better then the Packers secondary.

For one, I know Aaron Rouse. Personally. He is a hot head and not a great cover DB, and in fact played linebacker at VT until his junior year. That is who got beat on the Miles Austin TD, correct?

Thusly, I will take my chances with Rogers on Austin/Crayton/Hurd (one of those 3) one on one

I'll take my chances with the "cobra package" of 3 safeties, because Chris Horton is big enough and a sure enough tackler to help in the running game

If Barber is breaking tackles consistently like Emmit would always do, it'll be a long long day.

But again, if I am our D-coord, I am looking for ways to slow this game down and prevent the quick strike that killed us in Dallas last year, and hoping Romo commits errors in the redzone as he has been prone to doing this year

It was such a foolish post that there is nothing to refute.

You wanna put landry 25 yards deep? that is fine by me. Go right ahead.

Your assumption that romo will automatically throw an int in the redzone, Please.

say something worthy of talking about and I will respond. that post however was a load of junk.

Lemme see... You're doubling Owens *and* Witten, and you have a safety 25 yards deep... Are you playing with 12 players on defense?

Try that with 11 and say hello to 250 yards rushing.

Again, I am willing to concede the rushing yards, because it'll take time for you to score

Now if Barber is getting 8 yards a pop, thats a different story. But my bet would be we'd hold Barber to 4-5 yards a carry. I am willing to concede that to avoid the big play and make you take your time to score

Rouse was looked back to the center of the field on that play - it was Tramon Williams who was beaten by Austin. And if you don't think Romo can look off an aggressive, sometimes stupidly so, player like Landry, well...

Aren't you setting your expectations a little low, SHF? This sounds like last year when teams were hoping to lose 35-10 to the Patriots rather than 52-17.

If you let another team run the ball on you all game, you can pretty much forget about winning.

The only reason that GB's plan of attack contained us for a while was because they were getting a bit of pressure with their front four.

I see the pressure you guys would get from your front four on the level of Cleveland and in that case, Romo will sit back there and I don't care how many guys you got in coverage, Romo is going to eventually find the open guy!

A win? He's just hoping to lose by less than double-digits so ESPN & co. can put them on a pedestal like they did Philthy after their LOSS in Big D!

Not at all. Again, the goal of what I am suggesting is to make you guys work to score and slow down your offense

I basically know that the 'Boys will score 21 points. I want it to take 40 plays to get those 21 points as opposed to 6 or 7. That gives us a shot in the 4th quarter

Interesting stragtegy.

The problem with that is this....If we march up and down the field holding the ball for 10-12 plays a drive, then your defense will be worn out in the fourth.

So, If the score is something like 21-7....or 10....in the fourth...we'll have your defense so worn out we can hold the ball and play keep away for the last 10 minutes.

This happened vs Cleveland. They cut the lead to 28-10 in the fourth with about 10 minutes left. They kicked off to us and appeared to have momentum. With Barber out with bruised ribs, Jones and Choice helped us hold the ball for the last ten minutes. They never got the ball back.

That very nearly happened with Philly too. We were inches away from holding the ball the last four minutes of the game.

We also had a long drive to quell any Packer chance in the fourth.

Our offense, can wear defenses out....and with your lack of depth at DL and LB, we would just drive down the field.

I think you have two very good defenders in the secondary. Springs is older, but still good. Landry is the best you have. But your secondary is no where near the level of Philly's. In the second half they decided to play coverage....Romo ate them alive.

Well part of it is NOT being down 21-7. More so being down 21-17

Our d-line can rotate 8 guys through, and HB Blades is a solid 4th linebacker to plug in and spell Marcus Washington. Rocky and Fletcher-Baker are machines

What I am counting on is wearing your o-line out, ala what the Gints did in the playoff game last year. Not to compare that d-line to ours, but that is part of my thinking, along with hoping that Romo gets impatient in the redzone and our guys can make some plays

Again, this strategery only works if we are able to keep the game within a score in the 4th quarter, then we'll see if our tough training camp paid dividends

If our O ain't scoring, and its 21-7, well it was a waste of time and we may as well have just blitzed 9 guys every down
