perhaps, but he doesn't strike me as that type of guy. instead, he seems to be the sort that sticks with his team until the job gets done (e.g., Super Bowl).

agree:

Right and he'd have a ton of options if he wanted to leave Indy.

He doesn't strike me as that type of person and seems like he would stay loyal to Indy

The only way to recruit Andrew Luck is to hope Jim Irsay builds such a toxic environment that Luck doesn't want to stay there.

thats easy...sit Luck down and show him game film of playing behind his line...then show him game film of romo playing behind ours :D

So the consensus from many of you geniuses is that making any effort to be creative and think outside the box in an effort get a player like Andrew Luck to replace Romo down the road is absurd?

I understand the logic of saying its not possible because of the tampering rules but I don't understand why so many of you would simply dismiss the notion out of hand and get so bent out of shape over the question.

I'd like to have a GM that wouldn't leave any stone unturned and make every effort within the rules to bring in the best players they can afford under the cap and use every creative thought they had to find every way possible to get as many players as possible, even those thought to be unattainable.

I expected the simple minded replies but gave many of you guys too much credit to think you could comprehend the very first sentence of my post and restrain yourself:

Calm down naysayers and play along or just ignore me please.

Yes there is.

But it will take an attack by the Expendables on the franchise known as the Colts, an American James Bond who can sneak into the NFL headquarters and recode the computer to give Dallas 100 million in cap space, and a man behind the star willing to break the rules to get Luck for the days when Romo is retired on the links.

Frankly, I think Jerry is up to it. Now how do we get the rest of this group on the same page?

Queue Bond music now.

This had me in tears

Luck. Watt. Beckham. Sherman. We have them all lined up already to come here the second they are out of contract. Might even do the force accept trade feature.

Saw this tweet today, reminded me of it so here it is:

Point being, I really don't think Andrew Luck wants to leave that organization.

It's not simple minded. It would be easier to find a date on Mars than it would be to get Luck out of Indianapolis. He's their franchise.

It's not dismissive because it's simple minded. It's dismissive because the premise is stupid. Unless Luck suddenly gets injured every season to the point of not being reliable, he will 100% be a Colt for the rest of his career.

Chinstrap Luck would never line up behind Fredbeard do we really want to dump a quality center? Think about it.

A franchise young quarterback doesn't just decide to leave his team in the NFL, it's basically unheard of.

Our next QB is a freshman on a campus somewhere.

still simple minded, no thought given whatsoever to your response, you can do better than that, go man go!

The only way this will happen is if Luck wants to play for the Cowboys. If he says that openly like what Eli did, then there could possibly be a trade or even Luck coming to Dallas. I doubt that would happen. If that doesn't take place, there is no chance he'll be coming here.
