This is THE easiest games of the year. If we lose to the bucs, I guarantee our season will end in a losing record. And I think we are going 11-5 this year.

I wouldn't go as far as guarantee it, but the possibility would soon look really strong.

I'd have a hard time picking between TB, Oak, and KC for the worst team we'll play.

The Bucs ain't the Lions. Like us, they were mathematically alive for a playoff berth on the very last weekend. Losing would be bad, but hardly a disgrace.

You must not have kept up with the Buccaneers very well this offseason.

Last year's team was much more stable.

That is right, Its a bad TV sitcom,fo rthe last 4 years. Untill this team does something in the playoffs, and win in December, I have low expectiations. And if your expecting more your, Good for you.... Keep those hopes up

Every board is the same. Are people not supposed to care? Look at some of the post counts around here. Who knows how much time I "waste" on here (definitely not a waste).

We have passionate fans who may overreact time to time, and we have other "fans" who seem to love to instigate chaos.

I don't see it as a big deal, but I won't lie.. outside of getting injury reports or checking out press conferences, I try to avoid this place after a loss.

Sure they should care. But jumping off the deep end and declaring the season lost, terrible, over, fire the coach, cut Romo, Roy Williams is a bust (which will all likely happen if we lose) isn't about how much someone cares. It's about drawing attention to themselves for how much of an over-reacting drama queen they can be.

Yeah there will be meltdowns, for some reason, I can't get an honest read on this team yet. I guess after about 3 games, I should know all I need to know.

I'd say waiting 3-5 games is the best way to get a decent read on the team and the direction it's going. Trying to figure out how good, or bad, a team is based on 1-2 games is going to be nearly impossible.

Of course this is the NFL and we've all seen plenty of times when a team has started out really slow out the gates only to come on at the end and be a real contender when everyone wrote them off a month in, and vice versa.

One of the reasons why I don't go into chat except for on very rare occasions.

Not the user you mentioned spefically but just the overaction of some users about makes my head explode.

It is like a gaggle of old negative nancies and debbie downers fighting over who can be the most dramatic.

I have to wonder sometimes if some of these people are like that in real life because if so it really has to be a serious buzzkill or drain for their friends of family to always have someone constantly complaining about every little thing.

Nothing wrong with being critical, nothing wrong with pointing out problems but I swear I have seen people where we could be undefeated, win the superbowl, be ranked #1 on offense and Defense and they would still find something to complain about.

Oh, I definitely agree that those kinds of posts are terrible. That's why I avoid this place after a loss. The people who get crabby and just a little depressed I see nothing wrong with; the people who go crazy calling for every player to be cut and every coach be fired, those are the ones that I have a problem with.

It is definitely embarrassing like another poster said, and like I said before.. that's why I tend to ignore this place for a day or two afterwards. You've always got those "fans" who for some reason enjoy watching the team fail.

When we lose, most will blow off some steam but after a couple of wins, things will get back to normal.

Now, if we lost the first couple of games, the board might implode.

With Wade Phillips coaching this team (in the last year of his contract), my expectations are not very high.

Honestly, I don't think you ever have a read on a team unless they make the play offs consecutive years, but you can tell if a guy can get opened, if the line can block, if the running game is effective, etc. That's what I was talking about.
