Since 1940, defenses that give up 600+ yards in a game are 0-28.
but the same old crew will complain about the O.

Hey guess what - the Lions have a tough and hard DL. Guess what? We had trouble with it.

Meanwhile the D gives up 31 and 600+ yards.

And why didn't our O get '600 yards' with our $100 million dollar QB? SEVEN points going into the third quarter. We have a four turnover differential in our favor and Harris was giving us great field position and yet we score only 10 points. Yeah, I think the offense does play into that.

Every single team must have a 'tough defense', because we only scored 2 touchdowns against the Eagles and Commanders as well. The offense is a huge problem. They're not scoring. and it's keeping the defense on the field and garrett plays ultra conservative at the end of games so he won't take the blame. It's kind of interesting how Rob Ryan, who was all that ailed us and 'couldn't get stops on defense at end of games' seems to be doing remarkably well over there with the Saints when they have an offense that actually knows how to put points on the board. 6 and 1 compared to more .500 cowboy ball.

The defense wouldn't have to be perfect at the end of games if the Offense would get off their butts and do something in the first half.

While I agree that the offense was completely underwhelming in the 1st half and shouldn't get completely off the hook here, giving up 280+ yards and 24 points in the 4th quarter isn't a good example of falling just short of perfection to end the game...

The best defense is a good offense. Just look at the Saints and Rob Ryan. Now Rob is not the problem. Well, that's because he's not made to look to be a problem because he has Sean Payton and the high octane offense on the other side.

exactly. we need to forget "balance" and let this offense do what it does best, which is move the ball through the air

Yep, astoundingly, record settingly, horrendous. Could not stop a nose bleed.

And Brees and Rodgers still to go. If we aren't dead last in total defense at the end of the year I'll be shocked
