No early turnovers. Last thing we need is to be down 7-10 points early, which will allow Cox and others to go into kill mode and strictly focus on passrushing. Defense lately has been alright early on, but the turnovers and lack of TOP has hurt this defense by making them be out there for long stretches. No Miles Sanders or Ertz/Dallas G, so there is less excuses for our front 7 for getting gashed in the run game or middle intermediate passing game.
Zeke will need to be checked in mentally and hold the damn rock. He isn't trying to be like Barry Sanders juking guys wildly, so both hands on the ball when plowing straight ahead.
Moore needs to call less predictable plays. Yes, he has a 7th round rookie QB, but don't have predictable formations and plays on certain downs. To start the year, IIRC we had one game where 1st down was a run call something like 70% of the time.
Mix it up. Yes, our offensive line sucks, but if he calls short routes or quick passes the corners and safeties will be willing to jump those routes and that'll lead to turnovers.
The refs will win us this game. The NFL doesn't want it's number 1 "money market" team to get too bad this year. We have more prime time events planned later in the year so they have to keep us respectable.
Unless they plan on calling touchdowns when we get two first downs in a row, I'm not sure they can help us to victory.
