I simply brought up "Moss" to change the shade of the forum from Norville Grey to a slightly more exciting color. Thank you for your contribution. Getcha popcorn ready!!!
No, what you did was you wanted to contrast Moss' behavior with TO's, which is the reason why
you mentioned in your initial post TO's name. If this were simply an issue of Moss' response to Kiffin, you would have left it at that.
But you knew you'd get criticized because of your defense of TO, which is why you tried to cut off that discussion from the start and tried to "justify" why TO is different than Moss.
Oh.. and about Moss, he put himself into that situation. If you really believe he was Mr. Innocent back whern that happened I have some choice coastal real estate down hewrein Florida to sell you. TO has not ever done anything remotely close to a crime. Find me an article. Please spare me the BSPN Pillgate too.
LOL!
You arguments are so weak they're pathetic.
First, who said anything about Moss not putting himself in that position?
Second, if we're playing the "find me an article" game, find me an article where anyone on the Raiders said that the Minnesota traffic cop incident had any barring on Moss' relationship with his teammates.
See the difference?
Naw, you don't.
Many players have off-field criminal indiscretions. But that's handled by the legal system.
Behavior towards one's coaches and fellow teammates
IS NOT covered by the courts. That behavior has an impact on the team far more than whether a player hit a traffic cop -
UNLESS that player is convicted and sentenced, resulting in that player missing game time.
But with respect to
club house matters Moss is no different than TO.
Remember, TO criticized coaches.
Remember, TO confessed on national TV that he wasn't into the game (that sounds like half-hearted to me).
He did and has done the
SAME THING Randy Moss has done.
And to point to Moss' scrape with the law to somehow argue that TO is a
better teammate/player than Moss is ridiculous and, quite frankly, the type of comparison I'd expect an elementary student to make.
But you make them because you have this incessant need and desire to make TO something that he's not.
See, I have no problem saying TO contributed to this team and could be better. I don't feel as if I have to
JUSTIFY him being on the team beyond his field play. He dropped passes, he shoots off his mouth, he is disrespectful (spitting on another player), he lacks an appreciation of authority (criticizing his coaches), he is selfish (always looking to criticize others and not himself) and he can be a bad teammate and a good teammate (consoling Romo). And he can play giving us a threat to take attention off Witten and Terry Glenn.
That's who he is. I don't need to compare him with anyone. I and most of the people you call TO-haters simply recognize that he comes with a lot of baggage but it's baggage we'll put up with because 1.) we don't own the Cowboys, 2.) he still has something left in the tank and 3.) we are die hard Cowboys fans.
You, however, seem to have this need to justify him and make him better by making comparisons to Moss, as if Moss is somehow worse than TO and as if your reaction would be different if Jerry Jones brought Moss to Dallas.
Based on your arguments, it seems clear to me the same justification you'd make for TO would be the same justification you'd make for Moss.
Whereas, I would be saying the same things about Moss even if he were a Cowboy.
