Agreed. All of the overtly optimistic will come out and say “this is the real team! This is our real potential.”

Wrong.

This is the Jekyll and Hyde side of the cowboys we are witnessing here. Quite frankly, I’m not buying nor falling for it. We will come back down to Earth next week when Philly blows us out of the water just like the 49ers did. This team did nothing different than they did the past few weeks. They just played inadequate competition. They still looked sloppy. Still had stupid penalties. Playcalling was meh. Dak looked arguably the best of the season today but that’s not saying much.
Haters gonna hate. It’s all they know how to do.

I disagree with the op. You can't always just turn it on in tough games. Needed to see the offense go down field, get things going and they did. Needed to see a more complete game and they played that. Now they can continue to build on it and hopefully it carries over against Philly.

No I said the real battle is next week

I’m confirming the win was a positive

Declining to agree that we should be called #1 in the league when we beat a team that’s less than us.

Understand?
But your thread title was “this win means nothing”.

I would argue that this did mean something. It’s not the biggest win of the year but it didn’t mean nothing.

Not by a long shot

Today is my 55th birthday , what a birthday present this game was to me .I am a longtime DALLAS COWBOYS fan, I have been a fan since 1973 . When I was 5 years old ,this win made my birthday. Dak looked great today Bland is a special player ,another pick 6 .Sam Williams blocked punt for a safety . The team balled out today.Lets beat the eagles next week, this game gives this team momentem for next week.CeeDee Lamb played great and Turpin also.

How bout them Cowboys! Beautiful win today. Let’s be real though, the real battle is next week.

Key takeaways:

- Daron Bland at or near Trevon Diggs level
- Defense domination
- Dak played lights out (besides that throw into quadruple coverage that resulted in a pick)
- Play calling was phenomenal
- O-Line significantly stronger this week

I can’t find much to complain about today guys. They played great. Anytime Rush is in before the game is over is a good day. But this win means nothing.

The true test is next week. We need to make up for the 49ers loss, and if they want to prove themselves and really win a Super Bowl this year they beat the eagles and stay breathing down their neck all year. And if they don’t they probably don’t deserve it.

What do you guys think? What did you see today that yall didn’t like?
Oline play is still a concern...
Was supposed to be a strength and it's been weak to average.
Way too much money tied up at the position for the performances we have been getting.

Sure it meant something.

Lose and they're in a real hole

Took care of business (easily) vs a below average team

This game reiterates the fact the Dallas Cowboys are a very good team. So is Philadelphia, I get it. The Eagles are not going to blow out anybody, least of all the Cowboys. I’ll tip my hat to them for battling to win games. I grudgingly admit their coaching staff cannot be as weird as their head coach seems to be. Dallas should win next week based on how both teams have played recently. The only bet I’d risk on the game is Derrick Henry won’t be playing in it.

People speak of adjustments and after the first series and 3 sacks the line improved . Dak moving out of the pocket much more dangerous then drop back pocket caves 2nd and 17 .
