Bring back eye vision! That had actual usefulness, but alas was only used once.

I don't care for putting it in a ball, but it'd be cool to mount one on a wire for extra footage of games.

possibly but that is nothing like the ball cameras in the video.

I also do not see the benefit at all, and fail to see anyway that it could "revolutionize" sports

It's the first version, in 15-20 years who knows what it can do. I should've said "potentially can revolutionize sports", but who wouldve clicked then?

This could be nearly weightless and be able to stream video in 15-20 years, in that case it'd add a whole new dimension to the game.

Doesn't seem like it could be anything more than a broadcasting gimmick.

You guys don't seem to have learned anything from the tech thread where Reality posted a few days back about Apple computers and the rest of the tech industry.

15 years, Hoofbite? Come on. We already have pen cameras that weigh grams. Why not stick one right between the laces of a football or on the nose/tail of the ball?

I don't care about camera in the balls but some kind of GPS chip would be good. At least then the refs would know where to spot the ball correctly or know when a baseball is fair or foul.
